Inspirational Card Sketches -DT Card

Hello again, sorry about the late posting of this card. I've been trying on and off all day but I just couldn't get the photo's to upload. Maybe my laptop has heatwave. Its another scorcher here today but I've been stuck indoors. Done 4 1/2 nonstop housework ready for a viewing, for him to be here for all of 5mins and most of the rooms he just poked his head round. So feel like it was a total waste of time and I am knackered. At least my house is gleaming of nothing else!

Today we see a new sketch over at the ICS challenge. Another fantastic sketch from Dawn. I inked up Tilda with Cat and coloured with Prisma Pencils and Sansodor. I just love using these pencils and I think I am getting better. Practice makes perfect I suppose.

The papers are BG Marrakech, just love the blue/orange combo, they blend so well together. Because the papers are quite fussy I chose to add just the flowers and centres for this card. No fancy borders or other embellishments, a case of less is more in this case. anyway, please do take a look at this weeks challenge and it would be great if you could join in to. The other DT's have great examples.

Cupcake Craft Challenge DT Card

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend and had some good weather. We've had gorgeous weather, lovely BBQ's and I've a nice tan. Looks like its here to stay for a few more days at least and what better way to celebrate than this weeks Cupcake Craft Challenge. Kathrin has chosen this weeks theme "Its Summer".

I've had this gorgeous PB stamp for a while now and just couldn't wait to ink it up. I coloured it with Prisma Colour Pencils and Sansodor and am really pleased with my results. The stamp has a coloured image on the front so I tried sticking with those colours as this was more experimental but turned out so well, so just had to use it for a card. The papers are K & Co "Wild Rasberry" and I am in love with these. Such gorgeous colours and designs and they are double sided. The flowers are Prima and the flower centres are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I have a deep A4 box full to the brim with handmade flowers I have purchased from here. I just love them and want them all. I've edged all the papers with a red chalk ink pad and punched a swirl which I have edged and added flowers.

Bearly Mine Designs - DT

I enjoyed making a Mini Pizza Box yesterday, that I decided to try another as they are so much fun and quick and easy to do. The fun part is the decorating.

This time apart from the Bazzill Box, all the papers are from Bearly MIne Designs, DESIGNER EXTREME VOLUME 1. There are just so many to choose from and Vol 2 is also a firm favourite. Donna offers free P & P within the UK. Have a look at what other great discs her SHOP has to offer including my favourite Designer Inserts Extreme. The stamps are from Simon says Stamps, flowers from stash, MS Butterfly punch, flower shaped die was cut on my MM Slice and I even gave him some googly eyes

Secret Crafter DT - Pretty Packaging

Hello everyone, saturday again and looks like were in for a scorcher here in the South East of England. BBQ's all weekend hopefully. Todays new challenge over the The Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge is "Pretty Packaging" chosen by the lovely Mandy.

And this is my very 1st Mini Pizza Box. The instructions are HERE and fun to make and quick and easy. The sentiment is Magnolia, Flowers are Prima and dies cut out on my slice. Added lace and pearls as wanted it to have a womans element to it.

Stampin for the Weekend DT Piece

Hello everyone. This is now our 4th challenge over at Stampin for the Weekend, any boy, its gone fast! This weeks chosen theme is "Pocket Full Of"", interpret that any way you wish but I have made a Folder for Stamped Images using 2 pockets on the inside.

The image is a stamp made by my local craft store, I have used her before as I just think she is so adorable, coloured with Promarkers. The papers are K & Co which I have torn and added lots of distressing to the card as wanted a vintage feel to it. Lace flowers, punches. Added lots of embellishments as I wanted it to really stand out.

I have kept the inside pretty simple as I thought as the front was very busy I would just coordinate the colours for the inside. Cardstock used with Cuttlebug Folder and matching backing paper.

This week Paper MakeUp are Sponsoring us and have some gorgeous stamps as this weeks prize.

Whimsy Blog Hop Is Here!!!!!

Hello everyone, glorious weather here in the south of England and today is the day we start the WHIMSY BLOG HOP. There is a super candy up for grabs for one lucky person so what you waiting for, get hopping!!!

I am so excited to have been chosen to take part in my first BLOG HOP for WHIMSY STAMPS.

We were asked to make a card using our favourite stamps and colours. Well, mine has to be Emma and I really so enjoy using all the colours of the rainbow so have made a summer themed card. Coloured with Copic Markers, I stippled the grass and sky with Chalk Ink Pads. I then used a variety of stamps to create a scene and finished with a Butterfly made with the MS Punch and Flowers and Charm. Can you see the cow in my scene? I thought I'd follow it round so one side is the head and the other is the rear LOL.

Dont forget that WHIMSY STAMPS are on sale and we mustn't forget the recent launch of the gorgeous Animal and Kids collections. they have been a bit hit and it would be a sin if you didn't have at least one piece of rubber in your collection LOL!!!!!

ICS DT Card

This is my card for this weeks sketch over at ICS. We were all given a digi image (Lou or Sam)to use with the sketch and this is my take. The images are from Lily-Boo's Boutique and they are sponsoring this weeks challenge. So if you would love a chance to win these gorgeous images, then why not take part. And if you are a Digi Image lover, then you really need to take a look at what other images they have available, Wow, I love them!

I have used a backing paper from We R Memory Keepers. The flower shaped window was cut on my MM Slice and have surrounded with assorted flowers and flowersoft, something I have not used for a very long time. I have used raspberry Liquid Pearls around the frame. I've coloured ...... with copic Markers and added a length of ribbon to the bottom. I will be adding a sentiment to the centre of this but couldn't decide what sentiment to add so have left it for the moment.

Dawn has a great sketch this week and the other DT's have come up with some stunning cards, so hope you can find the time to play with this weeks sketch at ICS

Cupcake Craft Challenge/Bearly Mine DT Card

Hello everyone, been busy this weekend with more cardmaking but cant show you yet as they are all DT pieces. My house is still spotless and we had another viewing. So its Monday again and another weeks crafting for most of us I hope. Today we have a new challenge over at the Cupcake Craft Challenge and this week we would like you to follow a sketch. The DT were given a digi image from Sandra Dry Digi Stamps to incorporate with the sketch and this is my take. I actually blew the cobwebs off my MM Slice for this card and my circles are perfect. I am a big fan of the Designer Extreme Papers from Bearly Mine Designs and after finding this paper off VOL 1, I new it would blend in perfectly with the image. I have used Sitting Rosabella and coloured her with Copic Markers and Stickles. Paper pieced her outfit, again with paper from the same CD. The backing paper itself I cut down to fit on my 6 x 6 and have highlighted with White Inksenntial Pen and Crystal Stickles. The sentiment was printed onto safmat from my computer and finished the card with a few embellishments.

I have made an insert for the card which matches the outer paper perfectly. This is also from Bearly Mine Designs and is called Designer Inserts Extreme. There are so many different styles and colours which are perfect for your card making. Add your own text and resize, its so easy to do.

SCSC- DT Card - Pink/Green

Hello everyone, another Saturday, and other Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge. Thanks to all those who entered last week. This week we move onto a new theme whcih has been chosen by ME!!! I would like you to use the colour combo PINK/GREEN on your creations. You can see all about it at the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge.

For my card I have used papers from LLB. The image is Kadoodle and have colours with Prisma's. The embellishments are K & Co, assorted flowers from stash and have added a pin and netting. The sentiment stamp is SU.

Stampin for the Weekend DT Card

This challenge at Stampin' for the Weekend was great fun, as all that is needed is names of songs from the 60's and leave it up to the individual as to how to interpret the Title and create a card based on their own intrepretations. I chose "Time Of The Seaon" as I wanted to use my new Anya stamp and thought she would great on a summery card. The papers are BG Wisteria and coloured her with Promarkers. I've added text from the same stamp pack and added, flowers, gems and a pretty border.

The SFTW Design Team have some amazing gorgeous creations for you to see, hope that you like wha they have come up with so pop on over to Stampin' for the Weekend and join in the fun.

LOTV Dt Card

Hello everyone, a warm but not so sunny day. Been up to my eyes with the chores for the last four hours but needed a break so thought I'd best post my card for this weeks LOTV. The theme this week is paper piecing and I used my new Ketto stamp and paper pieced her dress. Coloured the rest with Copic Markers and Spica Pens. Papers are from The Black Market Paper Society and I think they are gorgeous. Not done a red/black combo before but think its pretty striking. Flowers and gems from stash and the the coils I made are from the stems from when I chop the flower heads off. Seemed a waste to throw them out.

Anyway, must dash, a busy bee today and a viewing soon, so hope everyone is well. INSPIRATIONAL Card Sketches -DT Card

Hello everyone. Back to blogging and thoroughly enjoyed making this card for this weeks challenge over at ICS. A fantastic sketch for you to follow, hope you enjoy this one!

I used my new "Rain, Snow, Shine" - Anya Set from Tracy at Dies to Die For, she offers a fantastic service and her shop is well informed.

I chose to paper piece my Anya. All papers are Basic Grey "Sugared". The puddle and sentiment are both WOJ and all the detail has been coloured with Copics. Flowers are a mix from my stash and the border is a Martha Stewart punch. I coloured all the edges with a pink ind pad, just to give it some depth.

The insert is from my most used disc, "Designer Inserts Extreme". I love these inserts but I say that everytime I use it. You can see more details about this and the other discs available at the Bearly Mine Designs Shop. Hope you can play along with this weeks sketch, its a good'un and I just love sketches, especially when your mojo is on a go slow. Its great to see so many interpritations and we'd love it of you could join in to!

Secret Crafter DT - In The Jungle

Hello everyone,

Wow I've had a busy week with the house, but its on the market now. Board went up today and now just a case of sit back and wait. Hopefully being a weekend peeps will be out looking. And as its another Saturday, its your turn to look at the new challenge today from The Secret Crafter. Wendy has come up with a fab theme, "In The Jungle". I instantly new what image to use for this challenge. Denise from Whimsy Stamps was kind enough to send me some RAK images of this cute little fella (Whimsy Monkey). I've been wanting to colour him for ages and this was just the incentive I needed. The backing paper is from the new Lawrence Lleywelyn Bowen range. I've coloured the monkey with Promarkers and and stipled round the image with Chalk Ink Pads. Added Stickles all over the card and a clear sentiment. 

The DT have come up trumps again and remember you will be entered into the Monthly Draw for goodies from Wendys Shop!!

Stampin For The Weekend DT- Challenge 2 - "Going Digital"

Hello everyone, 

As you can see the camera landed safely and is back in my hands where it belongs. And above is the photo for my DT card for this weeks challenge over at SFTW.  

My image is "Sleepy Bear" from Dustin Pike and I have coloured with a mix of Promarkers. I forgot I had a daytime lamp, dont really use it but as it was nearly midnight when I uploaded this, thought I'd give it a go, and YAY, it worked a treat. No more rushing in the mornings trying to get 1st light anymore.

This weeks theme is called "Going Digital" and we would like to see a digi image on your card. Our sponsor for this challenge is Dustin Pike.

INSPIRATIONAL Card Sketches -DT Card

Hello everyone, another sketch over at this weeks Inspirational Card Sketches and a fab sketch it is to. This week we were given a digi image to play with from Whimsie Doodles, and you can also get a free image. Pop on over to the Challenge Blog for more details. This is what I've named"Tommy The Turtle" and he is just the cutest. I have coloured him with Prisma Pencils, Sansador and Paper Stumps. The papers are a mix of SU and BG. Various flowers from stash and my Martha Stewart Punch. I've used an insert from the "Designer Inserts Extreme" disc available at Bearly Mine designs and added my own text.

Our house went on the market yesterday so fingers crossed we got lots of viewings and sell quickly. The HIP is being done today and we have the tree surgeons in, dead wooding a large oak tree in the back of our garden.

Back from my hols, but no card!

Had a fantastic time camping in Devon. The weather was good, but it was due to get even better so we stayed on a few extra days. Now its back to reality with a thump. I've a "To Do List" as long as my arm (so much goin on at the moment) so I will probably still be quiet for the rest of the week. Will certainly do a spot of blog hopping if I get the chance and hopefully will be back to normal next week, once I've sorted a few things at this end.

Cupcake Craft Challenge DT Piece / OSCC

Hello to all and welcome to another challenge for this weeks Cupcake Craft Challenge. Ida has set the theme and she has chosen a colour combo for you to use. I really enjoyed using these colours, fresh and vibrant and again I chose not to make a card but a hanging post it holder. I coloured Tilda with a mix of Copics and Promarkers and cut her out. I covered a piece of heavyweight card with papers from BG Gypsy and added milky gems and a strip of ribbon. Attached Tilda with Silcone and added lots of pretty flowers are her. Threaded some fibres but not sure if I'm happy with the colours, think something more subtle may be better so may change that. My 1st time at creating one of these, sometimes I like to experiment and ever better if it turns out OK. I've not been around much this weekend and next week though I thought would be back to normal will be even busier. We viewed our dream home at the weekend so getting our property on the market is more urgent now as we need to sell in order to offer on this beautiful house. Its in a stunning location, massive kitchen and immacute condition. The 2 acres garden is ideal for all of us and I really dont want to loose this house so hubby managed to paint my utility room this weekend, even put up new shelves, I been working my backside off, tidying sorting and trying to keep the house in reasonable order so next week we will be getting estate agents in for valuations and fingers crossed will be on the markdet soon. Dont like this HIP milarky though, will delay the marketing of our house but just praying we sell quickly, keep all your fingers crossed for us please!!

Anyway, will be out and about today and entering this card into the One Stop Craft Challenge which is "Not A Card".

Secret Crafter DT Card/Charisma

Another Saturday is here again which means time for another challenge at the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge. This weeks theme has been brought to you by the lovely Jill and the chosen theme is "Bling". Pretty easy aye, so what you waiting for. Remember all entries get put into the monthly draw to win some goodies at the Secret Crafter Shop.

I've used a A6 card on this occassion and "Gorjuss" from set 2 which I've coloured with Promarkers. All the papers are from Bearly Mine Designs, Designer Extreme Vol's 1 & 2. Pop on over to the Shop for more details but all I can say is I cant live without my discs now, the designs are stunning! Have added the neccessary "Bling" and added a sentiment. MS punch, Hero Art Flowers and a few Milky Gems. The rest of the DT have as usual come up with wonderful creations for you to view and Mr Linky is up and running. I'm also entering this into the Charisma Challenge which has a theme this week of Pink & Brown.

Hubby is having to finish off painting my utility room. He was adamant he wasn't going to paint it, so I went ahead and bought the stuff, made a start and made a total hash. Managed to get paint on the ceiling and floor and can only manage an hour at a time as it tires my body, so low and behold, he's offered to finish it off for me this weekend hopefully LOL. Will try and get to a few more blogs this weekend. We are viewing a couple of houses and mine is in reasonable order now so have a few estate agents coming in next week. Busy, busy, busy. STAMPIN FOR THE WEEKEND - LAUNCH DAY!!!

Woo Hoo!!! It's finally here......LAUNCH DAY for Stampin' for the Weekend. Kimmi, Donna, and the whole Design Team of Amy, Ida, Jen, Nicole, Poppet, Vicki and Vanja and of course me, have been waiting for this day for ages.....and I do mean ages! LOL

For our first challenge entitled "From Dusk to Dawn", we're asking you to make a card or some other project using the color scheme of Purple and Yellow, a color theme not normally seen, but it does look gorgeous together. For this week, with it being our first challenge, Kim and Donna have put together a lovely prize with lots of crafting goodies and even chocolates for our first winner. So if you fancy your chances.....please join us. Look forward to seeing you over at "Stampin for the Weekend".

This is my piece. I have altered a clipboard. Could take ages for me to give you a full description so wont bore you with too many details LOL. I covered the edges of the board with Gold Leaf and painted the centre with Acrylic Paint and added Pee Wee Glitter while still wet. All the stamps are Magnolia and coloured Tilda with Promarkers. Papers used are BG Wisteria. An array of flowers, spacers and brads from stash and a few extra embellishments to finish. I altered a clipboard last year, the link for it is in my sidebar and I have to say I just loved making another. It is so pretty IRL.
