Sugar Nellie Challenge

Heres my card for this weeks challenge at Spoonful of Sugar which is 3 Ribbons. The rules have changed and I thought I'd take advantage just this once and used a Pink Petticoat Design which I have again coloured with Promarkers. The backing paper is K & Co and used a Cuttlebug embossing folder for the background. 3 strips of different colour ribbons, a sentiment and flower and brad! I've had a chance to play with both the Promarkers and Copics this weekend as I wanted to work out if there really was any difference between the 2. IMO, they both colour the same but the Promarkers have a thinner nib compared with the Ciao Copic Markers which makes it easier when colouring detailed area's, but I do find the lids on the Promarkers can be quite difficult to get off so maybe not so good if you have a weak hand. The Copics seem to have a softer nib so all in all not alot of difference, but seem to be working more with the Promarkers mainly because of the smaller nib and the pen itself has a solid feel to it as its more chunky. Dont know if this is any help to any of you but thought I'd give my opinion. Just gonna check out this weeks challenges before going to bed, kids back at school in 3 days, cant come soon enough as mine had an extra week off as well for our holiday to Florida.

Magnolia Challenge Card

This weeks Magnolia Challenge is "Hands". I used my Magnolia Tilda, Rug and Birds and the tree and butterfly is from the Stitchels set available HERE. Not sure which set the watch is from. I stamped the rug and watch direct to paper and coloured the rest with Promarkers, adding someCrystal Stckles to Tilda's wings and Liquid Pearls on the tree. Added sentiment to the bottom of my card using my Dymotag.

Sketch Saturday Challenge

This is my 1st Christmas Card of the year!!! I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday. Used my new stamp from Cuddly Buddly and coloured with my new Promarkers that I got in the post yesterday. To be honest they are the same as Copic Markers so I now have quite a stash of both of them but am sure they'll get put to good use. Used some christmas papers and matching embellishments. In craft mode at the moment so lots more to come!!

Friday Sketchers Challenge

This weeks challenge at Friday Sketchers is a great Sketch. I thoroughly enjoyed it! I looked at the Watercolouring with Distress Inks on Marlenes blog and decided to have a go. I have so many Distress Inks but rarely use them. I used watercolour paper for this as the paper seemed to fluff up on normal cardstock. Its not great but my 1st attempt so will have to give it another go. I used Basic Grey as the backing for my card and used a galaxy marker to add some dashes. 2 other papers and a chipboard piece which I coloured with distress inks and added a few flowers. Finished with a sentiment. Really pleased with this card and a fantastic sketch!!

Papertake Weekly Challenge

This weeks challenge over at Papertake Weekly is "Stitching". I have made this bag which is prcut chipboard for a swap I host called Me to You. Its for my friend Shaz who loves elephants!. The backing paper is from the Doodlecharms Cricut Pad. I stamped my new elephant from Spiral Whisper onto Joanna Sheen gingham paper. Cut "Shaz" out on my Cricut. The butterfly is from Hels Stictchels and have cololured with copics. I've gone around the edge with a chalk ink pad and finished it with stitching around the frame. Hope Shaz likes her pressie!!!

These are my children, Daniel, Zoe and Jessica inside Minnie Mouses House
This is all of us on Jessica's 13th Birthday. We hired a stretch limo to take us to a character restaurant, think it was all too much for Zoe by the end of the night.
On the last day, Zoe was madeover as "Jasmin" from Aladdin. She even boarded the plane dressed lke this!!

It seems to take forever to upload the piccies so will do a few at a time over the next few days as peeps are asking when they're gonna see some. Done a few for now and will get some more on soon. Hubby is in Paris on business for the weekend so am going to get the chores out of the way and do some crafting later. Have a great Bank Holiday weekend.
BTW, I have added more challenges that I've come across, they're on my side bar.

I'm Back!!!

Hello everyone,
Back from my holidays now. Wales was quite wet and windy and even resorted to sleeping in my clothes in the tent some nights but we had a great time and we climbed Mount Snowden. Took me 5hrs to get up but I didnt quite make it to the sumit though almost there. Another 3 hrs to get back down and am so pleased I done it. Oh, and I held a Python at Butterfly World!! We moved onto Alton Towers for 3 days and stayed in a kids themed room at the Alton Hotel. Had a fabulous time and the weather was good. So back to reality and a suitcase of washing. I'll probably still be quiet for the next few days as alot to do but hope everyone is well and hope to be back with a card as soon as I can.

Penny Black Challenge

This weeks theme is Ribbon over at PB Challenge. I have used a Gloss DL card and inked with Brilliance ink pad and "Field of Sky". Again used my "Tulip Jungle" from PB and coloured with Lyra Crayons. I stamped 6 flowers from Magnolia onto patterned paper and added to card with frayed ribbon tucked in them and added 2 ribbon corners to the card. You'll get a better view if your click on the picture. Jessica has gone back to school today, she only gets 4 weeks holidays, so we all had to be up and out early today. If I'm lucky I'll it will give me a bit more time so may be able to craft again later. The weathers miserable today and looks the same for the rest of the week, oh well, you cant have everything. Have a good day!

Back from DisneyWorld

Hi everyone,
I'm back but still jet lagged. Disney World was amazing, tiring but well worth with. We went to Magical and Animal Kingdom, Epcot, Downtown Disney, 2 water parks, Hollywood Studios and an Outlet Centre where I managed to fill another case with some bargain clothes. It was very hot with temperatures in the mid 90's. A few thunder storms but there were welcome because it was so humid out there. Jessica was 13 when we were out there and we hired a stretched limo to take us to a character restaurant where we met chip and dale and mickey and minnie. I have so many photos and will post a few over the next few days. Not back in craft mode yet, up to my eyes with washing and ironing and very tired. The kids aren't going to bed till at least midnight and I've not been going to bed much before 3am. Hoping to get back to the challenges and blogging again next week. I hope everyone is well and thanks for stopping by my blog!!
