My 1st Canvas

I finaly managed to take the plunge after being badgered by a few friends to have a try(lol). It was actually easier to do than I thought it would be but I'm still not sure on the finished result. I coloured a piece of canvas (7 x 5) with Catseye Pigment ink pads and then added some crackle paint. When dried, I stamped randomly over the whole canvas, I used Tim Holtz,Limited EditionRS mainly and a few others. Coloured with Twinkling H20's and edged with Gold Krylon Pen, honest opinions are welcomed, I never planned the layout, just sort of come together but would like to try another canvas. Looks like another one to add to my "Things To Make" on my crafting list, and to think I used to be quite happy making simple cards!!!

Excellent. Especially as you say you didn't plan the layout, it's come together really well. Love the face stamp and how it's looking out at you from the canvas.

Wow Claire, it's amazing, I'm not brave enough to stamp directly onto the canvas. You've done a fantastic job - love it

Wow I really like this Claire, at first I thouhgt it looked a little too busy then I clicked on the close up and loved it. The overlaying of the stamping and that ladys face is just perfect - colours are great xx

I think it's fantastic too, Claire! I am always too frightened to stamp directly onto canvas. I always stamp onto white tissue paper and glue it on. You've done a marvellous job here. Looking forward to seeing some more of your canvases.

ps. Thanks for visiting my blog. :)

It's very nice. And actually, some of the best pieces of artwork are those that 'just come together'. ;-)
