Spoonful of Sugar Challenge

This is House No5 and thought I'd play with my Shopping Sugar Nellie for this one, quite appropriate considering that was my main focus at Ally Pally Yesterday. My craft desk is a mess and I haven't a clue where I'm gonna put it all, let alone play (lol). Anyway, back to my house. Stamped on DaisyD paper & coloured with Copics. 3 flowers with liquid pearls and a sentiment. Edged with fluid chalk ink pad. This house fits this weeks Sugar Nellie Challenge which is "Charmed". She is charming and shopping can be done so gracefully! though I'm thinking of adding a bag charm to the chimney, so just imagine it in the piccie for now. Craft Day on QVC at midnight, will be staying up for the TSV so may get a chance to make something tonight!!
MUST SAY - HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM!!!! I know she pops in to look at my blog at times and as I havent spoken to her today thought I mention it on here. Best not mention how many candles though (lol)..................

My Time to Craft/Cute Card Thursday Challenge

Got delivery of my new Elzybells Stamps so thought I would make this card to fit both challenges at My time to Craft which is Blue and over at CCT this weeks theme is Sparkle. I covered a 6 x 6 squ card with Dovecraft paper. Cut out 3 scallop tags on my Cricut and layered snow mesh in between. The image is "Juggling Eskimo" and my card has also being placed in the Elzybells Blog Gallery which is very exciting for me as I'm not exactly a headliner!!! I coloured the image with Copics and added buttons from papermania and lots of sparkle to the card. Sentiment also Elzybells. If I can get a better piccie over the weekend I will change it, this ones a bit dark!

House Swap No4 / Auntys Wild Challenge Piece

This is my 4th house in a series of 10 to make. A bit behind but will make the deadline. It also doubles as a challenge piece over at Auntys Forum, "What Makes A House A Home?". I cut the house out from my Cricut, perfect size for the swap and distressed with chalk inks. The stamp is made by my local craft store and I have used it alot as its so cute! Coloured her with copics, sprayed glimmer mists onto cardstock (dont think this shows very well). Sentiment from Stampattack and a Prima flower. The weekend is finally upon us and am due to be at Ally Pally on sunday, having a minor trauma with my health ATM, (MS sufferer) but am gonna do my best to attend even if it means a few extra sit downs. Am in craft mode, so am sure there will be lots more added very soon. Have a great weekend!

Dog House

Heres another house I have to make for the swap of 10. This is No 3. I found the backing paper 1st (Karen Foster) which is of course dog themed and that set the style of house I was going to make as at the time I really wasnt sure what to do. The stamp (Stamposaurus) was coloured with sandstone Promarker and a puffy velvet pen which you heat to set. The word "Woof" are velvet stickers and the word "Ruff" was cut out on my Cricut along with the gold leaves. Edged the house with a copper galaxy marker and stuck a spare bone in the chimney. Now I need to think what to do with house No 4!!!! BTW, the easel is something I got from Craft Central today, thought it would be good for the piccies!!

Lots to Do Challenge Card

This weeks challenge over at Lots to Do is "Numbers". I have made a C6 card using some spare backing paper from the previous card on my blog. This is one of those cards I didn;t really plan, just came together as I went along. I stamped T/Holtz's girl image direct onto paper and masked. I then used my leaf stamp from Art Impressions around the mask with chalk ink pads. The other stamps on the card are from Paperbag Studio and I really do love this set. Finished off by going round the edge of the card with a brown chalk ink. This isn't the best piccie but its nearly midnight and the lighting isn't very good now. Hope you like my card, makes a change to make an older style although I am still very much into my Cuties!!

Sketch Card

This is my card for Nikki's sketch over at her blog. I have again used my girl with flowers image which I just love ATM. Coloured with prisma pencils and sandsodor. The papers are simply elegent from PaperMania and have added Prima Flowers, gems and a rub on.
Good news about Daniel. The school have decided that he can stay so he will remain there for the remainder of the school year! He has come a long way over the past 2 weeks and is taking part in lessons and is ATM, sitting his 11+ without tandrums and the need for timeout. Just a senior school to find now but if he passes the ll+ we have somewhere closer to home in mind. Have a great weekend.

Cute Card Thursday Challenge

I know this is a canvas not a card but other items are excepted on the Cute Card Thursday Challenge. I made this to fit this weeks challenge and it wasnt till afterwards I realised it say CARD challenge but checking their blog it says it will be OK, so I can breathe a sigh of relief. I coloured the canvas with chalk ink pads and coloured Tilda and Rufus with Promarkers and Marvy Le Plume pens. The sun is Stitchels. Added flowers and leaves from Art Impressions and used a clear Sakura Pen Randomly over the the canvas. This went to my friend Hels, who's been suffering terribly with her back and I hope this helped to cheer her up.
I met up with Dan and my forum friends yesterday for his birthday. We ventured to Puffin Crafts first where they were offering 50% discount for the day so stocked up on more stash and then we all went to Frankie and Bennies for a bite to each. Being Dans Birthday Bash, we had to have our cake and eat it which I think pretty much sums up the whole day. I had a great time and was lovely to meet you all again.

For A Friend!

Made this for my friend "Angie" who has just celebrated her birthday. Its a folder made from a piece of 12 x 12 but I cant remember which blog I found the instructions, sorry. Apart from 1 cut it was all a matter of folding. As you can see there are 2 pockets so I filled them with stamped images for her to play. I decorated the front with lots of gems, prima flowers, and peel offs, it opens up like a normal card and is all patterned inside so just stamped a "Happy Birthday" sentiment. If I find the link, I will come back to you!

Sunday Stamper

This is my very 1st house I've ever made and am very pleased with the way it turned out. It was originally for a new forum swap but after making it, found out that it also fits this weeks challenge at the Sunday Stamper "Home" is this weeks theme so I am putting it in for that as well. I drew a rough sketch of my house and then made a template with a blank piece of doeflex. 1stly, I covered it with Jewel vellum then cut a circle for the window and added a frame. The butterfly and heart are from Hels Stitchels stamps (which I love) and stamped 2 corners from Technique Tuesday and coloured them in with Galaxy Markers. Finished with the wording I done on my Dymo. Only another 9 for the swap and have to say I'm looking forward to making them!!

My Time to Craft Challenge Card

Hiya to all my fellow bloggers. Heres me entry for this weeks "My Time To Craft" Challenge which is animals. Its not a very good photo but I can blame the lighting due to the bad weather were having ATM. I used my monkey stamp from Stampendous and coloured with Promarkers. Used a border punch along the bottom and threaded with pink ribbon and added a rub on sentiment and butterfly.
Daniel had his 1st full day at the new school on friday. We really wern't sure how it was going to be for him. He was picked up and returned by taxi so we waited with baited breathe for him to come through the door and was pleasantly surprised when he walked in quite cheary!!!! He said he'd had a good day and was happy to go back. The satalite children work on a reward basis, so if they do the work, they get up to 15mins reward time at the end of each day to play with or game or something and on friday, all satalite children get 30mins golden time, so that worked really well. Daniel hasn't done a maths class for many months now as he would sit there and refuse to do the work, he did intially refuse but the reward time seem to have some effect and for a first, he done all of his lessons, he even went into a mainstream classroom to join in and it was nice that a learning assistant went with him so we will always have peace if mind that he's getting 100% support there. All in all, looks like its going to benefit Daniel and hoping he will get to stay on after his trial. Wont continue to bore you but we've waited what seems a very long time for this to happen and I am very proud of my son for at least trying. Have a good weekend!

Cute Card Thursday Challenge

Here is this weeks challenge card for Cute Card Thursday. This weeks theme is water. I used another new stamp which I purchased from QVC not long ago. Its a faoam stamp but the image came out really well and she is rather sweet! I coloured her in with Promarkers, matted and added to Basic grey 2 Scoops papers which I love. Couldn't find an image with water so I used the Magnolia Watering can and again coloured with Promarkers. Added a rub on sentiment to complete the card.
Daniel had his 1st trial day at the new school today, it could have gone better as something upset him and he couldnt focus for the rest of the day but we think he'll be alright once he gets used to the routine. Spent nearly 3 1/2 in travel time to and from there but as of tomorrow the LEA will be providing a taxi for him, dont think I could go through that everyday and poor Zoe had to be picked up by a friend. Anyway, not had a chance to craft today, need to check out the rest of this weeks challenges and see if I feel up to making any of them. TTFN and thanks for looking!

One Powerful Hour/Creative Corner Challenges

A cute birthday card which is fitting or 2 challenge this week. One Powerful hour has a "Children" theme and Creative Corner is to make a "Birthday Card". I have used scrap papers and edged with a chalk ind pad. The stamp is made and supplied my my local craft shop, a really sweet image I think. Coloured her with Copics. Added flowers, brad and sentiments which I think is Hero Arts. Kids back to school tomorrow. Daniel has been offered a 3 week trial at another mainstream school with a special needs unit attached. The unit only opened a few months ago and holds a max of 12 children so Daniel should be at ease there. He'll probably stay on till the end of the school year all going well, but we still need to place him in High School next September and are still trying to fight the LEA for funding for the school in Hampshire which is just for children with Aspberger's Syndrome. No doubt we'll be back to tribunal at the end of the year. Need to get the kids bits ready for tomorrow, me and hubby will be taking Daniel to school and he will then be taken and brought home by taxi everyday (which the LEA fund) as the school is 45mins away. Cant be in 3 places at once, not unless I clone myself. Have a good week, been raining here all morning, looks like summer is well and truly over.

I've collected this great award from 2 lovely ladies MarG & Jo. Thank you both I enjoy following both your blogs & seeing your gorgeous creations!

Also breaking the rules with the other 2 awards. Finding a handful of bloggers to pass onto is not a problem, but I want to give it to all my regulars who visit my blog.
