Seeing Orange

Been to the dentist today and had to have 2 large fillings, hence another day of not crafting but I have made a Birthday Card this evening. On a few birthday lists and everyone seems to have been born at the end of the year. This is for a friend on a list, hope she likes it. Made with K&Co Backing Paper, Graphicus stamp that was used on previous card, and again coloured with pencils and sansador. Matted onto Mirra card and a little bow to finish off. 10 days and I'm off to Sunny Mauritius for the christmas period, need to get all my christmas crafting finished and packed up in the next couple of days, got a mammouth task ahead of me if I'm to get done as much as I need to, only time will tell..........

Watering Can

Had to try something different last night. Only so many christmas cards you can make (LOL). Wanted a challenge so went through my templates (most unused I may add) and thought I try the watering can, mainly because it was pretty straightforward to cut out. Edges with peel off, and used a dotty stamp and a Dauber in Petal Pink for background,(although the camera hasn't picked this up very well) then stamped flower from Graphicus and coloured using Sansador (or Gamasol otherwise known). Cut out and mounted onto 3d foam onto the card. Made a bow from some spare ribbon and hey presto! Really pleased with my first attempt and doesn't take much longer than a normal card.

Penny Black ATC

This is an ATC I made for a friend at CSF using the "You Make Me Blush" stamp. I love the little hedgehog and watercoloured him using Marvy Le plumes. I added some red stickles to the berries on the mistletoe and have gone around the edge using a red pigment pad. To finish off, I used the Tattered Angel Mist Spray in Silver over the whole ATC to give a bit of christmas shimmer. I think the mists are fantastic and think I'll have to invest in a few more colours. Thanks for looking!

Heres another addition I made using the Stack Its, 12x12 scrapbook page and a border punch. I finished with peels offs and a greeting. Hoping to get back into the habit of blogging on a more regular basis.

Pyramage Card

This is an A5 card that I used with my new Pyramage disc and Joanna Sheens backing papers. I do have quite alot of her papers and dont use them half as much as I should. I think the contrast of colours looks good and like the modern image with old fashioned papers. Made quite a few pyramage cards lately and seem to be buying any disc that has images on.

Garden Gate Card

Sorry, but I love this card. I was trying out my new Garden gate set of stamps from QVC. I just stamped 1 image onto white card with a Tim Holtz Distress ink pad just to see what it looked like. Then decided to cut it out. I can be quite an impulse crafter, when I sit to craft the idea's dont always come but in this instance I wasn't intending on making a card, it sort of just happened.
I used an A5 Grid card and rubbed the distressed ink pad over the card and the image. I cut a fence with my cricut. Stamped some floral detail onto card and onto the gate. Glued the fence to card, used foam pads for the gate. Added some stickles to the flower buds on the gate and added lots of Prima flowers. Distressed a piece of card and stamped "Happy Birthday" and added a bow to finish! The photo is a bit dull and looks so much nicer for real.

Diamond Pop Up Card

This is my first Diamond Pop Up Card. I got the Ultimate board and DVD the other week and decided to give one of the projects a go as all I usually use the board for is folding cardstock. Very easy to make and nice to try something different. I embellished with Crafters companion Floral Disc, used pale lilac vellum for backing and added a lilac bow and large peel offs at the bottom. The flower has been decoupaged.

"Inspired By" Christmas cards

I was recently reading through my latest addition of Papercraft Inspirations when come across a card that really stood out. I have interpreted them in my own way. Used Cricut to cut out the Heart Die's. 2 pieces of backing paper from various designers, Holly Leaves from Cricut, Brads,Gingham bow, Primer Flowers,S/Adhesive ribbon and word stamp from See D's set (exepect one which is a sticky word embellishment) to finish off. Love the pink and blue papers and think a heart is something different from the traditional style of card. Loved making these and hope to make many more, some of you may even receive one!!!

Xmas Fat Page

This is the first page I made for swap I am in. Used DCWV Winter Stackmat as the backing paper and on the star, an embellishment and a piece of sticky ribbon. My first ever chistmas Fat Page..

In The Pink

As it was Craft Day today, thought I'd spend the day crafting with my daughter. This is one of the cards I made and think it is very different from the traditional christmas card. I used my Cricut to cut the christmas tree and Joanna Sheens papers. I added some extra peels and a word embellishment. The photo doesn't quite do it justice and it was nice to use different papers instead of the tradional christmas ones.

Vintage Fat Page

For this Fat Page I fused Fantasy Film and Fiibres together,(Its the first time I had tried using them) and then stamped a Vintage Lady using Stazon. I coloured the edge of a chipboard coaster with the DTP technique and added a square of Bazill cardstock and stamped Dreaming and a Background. I then overlayed the Fantasy Film on top.

"Little Book"

This a little book I made using ATC blanks for the pages. I used 2 different sheets of DaisyD papers and some Bazzill cardstock. I used various embellishments, stamps, fibres and peel offs to finish the book and my BIA to put together. Really enjoyed making my "Little Book" and am very pleased with the final result.
