Whiff Of Joy Challenge

This weeks WOJ Challenge is a fantastic sketch by Donalda. I'm not even sure if I've taken part in this challenge before, dont know why, I own enough WOJ Stamps. This is one of their latest releases. She's been coloured with Distress ReInkers apart from the Wings and Hairband. I got my SU Classic Ink Pads yesterday and had to try them out so incorporated them into this card to. The papers are BG "Porcelain". All embellishments are K & Co. Brown Bazzill cardstock and papers edged with Rich Cocoa Memento Ink pad.

Hope you like my card and if you haven't tried watercolouring with ReInkers, then you should!!!

The Sugar Bowl

This is my entry into this weeks Sugar Bowl Challenge. which is Spring or Easter.

I have used my new SN, Demure stamp for the card. This is the first time I have coloured with Distress Re-Inkers and H20's, and OMG, I just love it. Not sure if I've got it right, probably need a bit more practice but am happy with it. Am already working on my next card with the same technique.

The papers are BG and Prima. Used the "Daisy" Martha Stewart Punch, Prima flowers and rest is from stash. I've gone around the edge of the watercolour paper with a Gold Encore Ink Pad and coloured the sentiment with a Promarker in Satin. I just love the ribbonwire which comes in lots of different colourways, think its from Ribbonbox.
Have a lovely week, very spring like here this morning, lets hope it stays!

Been behind with my blog hopping, hope to catch up over the next few days...

Secret Crafter DT Card/LOLV & Spoonful of Sugar

This weeks Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge has been set by Julia and her chosen theme is "Stitching". Even though I own 2 sewing machines, I'm totally useless and cant even set them up so had to rely on Rubber Stamps for this one. I have stamped the border and around with image with the same stamp. Coloured Tilda with lamb with Copics and H20's. A mix of papers, Martha Stewart Border Punch, and other bits and pieces from stash. Please do try and join us in this weeks challenge and see what the other DT members have made. Remember you will be entered into a monthly draw if you enter the challenge to win some goodies at the Secret Crafter Shop. I'm also putting this card in for 2 other challenges Spoonful of Sugar (Easter) and Lilley Of The Valley (Easter). I very rarely set out to make a card for multi challenges, but as you can see by my sidebar, with the amount I have its inevitable that certain cards will meet multiple challenges.
Have a lovely weekend, some crafting for sure but nothing else planned at the moment!

Ooh La La/Charisma Card/Stampevie & DT Card

This is a birthday card I made for a very good crafting buddie. Gorjuss was by request so am hoping the card was to her liking. I chose the paper from Daisy Bucket which is double sided and used that as my inspiration. Coloured Gorjuss with Copics. Flowers are a mix of Prima and Hero Art and the El-M punch for the leaves. Spacers, brads,a button, lace and liquid pearls were other items used. The Birthday Tickets are from Designer Extreme Volume 1 Disc available over at Bearly Mine Designs, I distressed these and layers of card with Ditress Ink Pads. This card fits in with this weeks "Ooh La La" which is Buttons and Brads and Charisma Cards which is Favourites. "Gorjuss" is one of my favourites atm such a pretty image and I followed the sketch over at Stamp with Stampavie

Damp and drizzly here today but I've the house to myself so will do an hrs crafting I think. I've another DT card to do and several other idea's in my head so need to crack on. Have a great day!

Its a Gorjuss Multi Challenge

Didn't start out that way, but if you look at my sidebar, I have so many challenges and like to play in my fair share of them. Never new when I started that my blogging would be so addictive but its a good way to get creative and if it puts a smile on someones face, then thats good too!

I have a pile of at least 50-60 new stamps and its really hard trying to decide which one I want to use 1st as they are all so scrummy. So I looked through my challenge list to find a sketch to start. Everybody Art has a gorgeous sketch that appealed so that was the basis of my card. Next I used papers from Basic Grey and their challenge this week is texture. Stamp Challenge is a Spring challenge so a pretty fitting card for all. The papers used are BG Sugared and have coloured with Derwent Coloursoft pencils and Sansodor. Its only the 2nd time I've used these pencils and I really like them, feel softer than Prisma's. The pink pin and green border I got from ebay, rest is from stash. Leaves punched with L-Em punch.

I used my Tapestry stamps which have not surfaced for a very long time, but wanted to add a border round the image. Inked these up with ColorBox Pigment Pads. Sorry its such a long post, I like to expain how a card is put together and sometimes refer back to it myself. Think its the first time in a very long time that I have done 2 posts in 1 day. Mojo must be flowing. My dining table is so, so messy. Think I need to have a tidy before hubby gets home but will only get it out again later as I'm gonna make another card. Have a good evening. Take Care!

EDITED POST - I have just removed alot of elements off my side bar as I know some have been having problems accessing my blog. Hope this helps.....................

Feeling lazy today, got i-tunes on and think I may do a spot of blog hopping. Got it in my head its Wednesday!!! Well, have a lovely Tuesday, whatever your plans. Will be back with another card tomorrow, its totally Gorjuss!!!

Daisy May/Friday Sketcher

Firstly I'd like to thankyou for all the lovely comments I got regarding my new DT post. Its wonderful comments like that make you realise what a fun hobby cardmaking can be and what a lovely bunch you all are! I like to wish you all a very "Happy Mothers Day" and hope your being bombarded with pressies and loads of pampering. I got some cards and choccies this morning and so far just had a lazy day. Wouldn't go as far as saying I'd been pampered though. Jessica and Zoe made me a cake earlier, very sweet of them but I had to tidy the kitchen after. At least the thought was there! Anyway, another Mothers Day Card, just hope my mum isn't looking on on my blog today as I dont think she'll receive it tomorrow. It all started with the backing paper which I had used previously to cut some shapes out. Seemed a shame to waste it as I am so guilty of putting these in the bin. I've just got a new MS embossing punch which I tested out down the side of the page. What a lovely look, gave it about 3 punches just to be sure I got a good impression. Another Digi Download, this time Daisy May, coloured with Copics and matted onto BG paper which again punched with the Daisy MS punch. Have added a button to the crocheted flower which is this weeks challenge over at Cute Daisy May and used my reliable L -Em punch and some Bazzill for the leaves and added rasberry Liquid Pearls on the hearts and on the embossed border. The sentiment I made up and printed out onto Satmat. I followed the sketch from this weeks Friday Sketcher, been using this challenge alot over the last few weeks. I do hope you are having a wonderful day, the sun has been shining.

Was also saddened to hear of Jade Goody's Death. I hope by this tragedy that so many more lifes can be saved.

Secret Crafter DT Card and My Exciting News!!!!

Here is my DT card for this weeks Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge. This weeks theme has been set by the lovely Jane and the challenge is "Favourite Colour". This was not as easy as it first sound. Whats my favourite colour? Well in the world of crafting, I love them all so I lay some sheets of Bazzill out on the table and went with what appealed to me most. PURPLE, and below is the result. I haven't made that many shaped cards before but been trying to use my Cricut a bit more so using my "Storybook" cartridge cut out a few sized matts and layered them up. Punched 2 holes with my Cropodile and tied with lilac ribbon. the stamp is RAM and have coloured with Copics. I've edged one matt with a silver encore inkpad and another has been randomly stamped with a P/Imp stamp. I used the blender pen quite alot on this image, just trying different things out. I've still to add a sentiment but not sure what its for so will put on at a later date.

This card also fits in with some other challenges, Spoonful of Sugar which is Gems. I have put 15 on!!!. Artygirlz, stamping (and their last challenge -boohoo) and Creative Card Crew - No Patterned Paper.
************************
And now my exciting news - I have been picked for the new DESIGN TEAM over at the Cupcake Craft Challenge. Wow, think there were 56 applications and lucky old me got picked. Good excuse to make more cards and new supplies will always come in handy LOL. Dont start till April but cant wait and am as pleased as punch! So on that note I'd like to thank so many of you for being regulars to my blog. To think back as to what I was making a year or so ago is ghastly, Peel offs, Marvy Le Plumes and all those kits. How times have changed and all for the better. Thankyou for taking the time to read my post and please do try and join us with this weeks Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge. Have a fab weekend, will post again tomorrow.

Dotties World Challenge Card

This weeks challenge over at Dotties World is a fab sketch and seeings as I'm in Digi mode at the moment, thought I'd try out one of the downloads that I haven't used before. I love this little scene and used it to make this card for one of my Mothers Day Cards. Dottie has been coloured with Copics. The Die Cuts are made on my Cricut using George and Basic Shapes. The swirl border is a velvet ribbon. Doubt many of us will be getting our hands dirty on sunday (heres hoping)!!!!, but Dottie must be a modern kinda girl and doesn't mind getting her hands dirty........

ABC & Cupcake Challenge/Crafty Creations

Went to the garden centre yesterday and bought lots of ready made pots for the front of the house. That time of year when I feel the need for a bit of colour out the front and feels like spring is in the air!!
Another sunny day here and hope I have interpreted it on this card. An element of Spring to it I think, so am putting it in this weeks challenge for Crafty Creations. Also fitting ABC ( Flowers) and Cupcake (Brown + 1).

The stamp is one of my favourites bought from a local craft shop. Coloured with Derwent Coloursoft Papers and aged with Rangers Distress Ink Pad. The BP's are from the new Bearly Mine Design CD available HERE, embellishments from K & CO, flowers and ribbon from stash.
Notice how the ribbon runs downhill, this has been fixed and is now back in a straightline LOL.

Friday Sketcher using Bearly Mine Designs

Not only is this my card using the new stamps and freebie papers launched today from Bearly Mine Designs, this card is also for Edward (angeldrummers son). She asked if we could sent him a good luck card as he has just started school. Well I'm a bit late but am sure Edward will be thrilled with another card in the post. Meet "Elvin" one of the cute characters from the set. He's been coloured with Copics and Diamond Glaze. The large bp is BG Marrakech and thye other is the freebie papers you will receive when you order the full set of stamps. Matted and layered on a Navy Bazzill Cardstock. The wording has been cut on my Cricut using the "Storybook" Cartridge. I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers, loving these at the moment.
This is my 1st day by myself for over 3 weeks. We've had a bit of bother with Daniels schooling so I've not been posting or blog hopping as much as I would have liked, but pleased to say Daniel started a new school yesterday and had a good day, so hopefully its sorted now. I'm gonna enjoy the peace and quiet before the school run and may even make another card!! Have a lovely and keep crafting

No Challenge, Just Another Vicky!

Its sunday, the sun is shining and I've a bit of crafting to get done today so will press on and show you this card.

Yes, I know, another Vicky, but I couldn't just print the one out and she is quite pretty! This is an A5 card as the image was a little larger than the last card. I've used paper from DCWV "One upon a Time" Stack. Coloured her with Copics, used lots of stickles to highlight area's of the paper as it was quite dark and added Prima Flowers. At the bottom, it says "Happily Ever After" which I thought blended quite well with the paper theme.

I've chose to keep this card quite simple as I think over embellishing would take away the detail on the paper. Hope you agree!
No challenges for this one either, but I do often like to interpret my own cards, and for some reason, they are always so much quicker to make! Enjoy your sunday, roast chicken for us this afternoon!!!

I Love Vicky - Friday Sketcher

She is a gorgeous girl which can be downloaded via Chris's Blog. I have a few digi images, but to to be honest, I forget they are filed on my laptop as I'm so used to reaching for the stamps. Not any more. I bought 4 gorgeous images from Chris's Digi Shop yesterday and have fallen in love with Vicky!. Felt the need to make a card with her straight away and my mojo is flowing at the moment so didn't hestitate looking for a sketch. Friday Sketchers is a wonderful sketch this week and as you can see above is the result. I dont know who the papers are by, have a massive stack of them, could be K & Co but not sure. Coloured Vicky with Copics. The circle was cut out on my Friskars Shape Cutter. Forgot I had this tool, purchased from QVC a few months ago. Flowers, spacer and usual L-Em punched leaves. Hope you like my card, am working on another very soon. Thanks Chris for such a fantastic little girl, so cute and great to work with!!

Take a look at the post below, there are some fab new stamps being released next week!

Colour Create, Penny Black and Cupcake DT Call

Isn't this little stamp adorable. I purchased it at the Make It show a few weeks ago as I just couldn't resist. A mum at the school asked me to make an Easter card for her. Haven't made many Easter cards before so was nice to do something beyond birthdays . I dont do many commsioned cards either, so it was nice to be asked. The paper is from my new K & Co "Cut & Paste" stack. I remember seeing a page with a cute chick on so new this would be ideal for the card. I used the colours from this weeks Colour Create Challenge which is Orange, Yellow and Green and the recipe from this weeks Penny Black challenge. Coloured with Copics, and white Inksenntial pen. The Flowers are new from Calico Crafts and the Wire Ribbon which I love is from Ribbon Box. Sentiment from Woodware. I didn't want to over embellish the card as I felt it would loose the background. Cupcake Crafts also have a DT Call out at the moment, so I thought Why Not! You've got to be in it to win it so to speak. The card theme is Spring, just like the weather here today, windy but sunny and the Crocus's on the village green are now in full bloom. My mojo is flowing atm and am really enjoying my cardmaking. Have a lovely week!

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - My Call

Cant believe how fast the time has gone. Its my turn again to set this weeks challenge over at the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge and for this week, I have chose "Masking". I recieved my Gorjuss Girls the other day and couldn't wait to ink one of them up. Bit of a dilemma because all 6 are just beautiful. I have coloured my Gorjuss with Copic Markers. I then stamped her again onto Eclipse Masking Tape, but a post it will work just the same. Cut it out and placed over the stamped image on the card. I then used the grass from a Cuddly Buddly set and stamped ontop. When you remove the mask, the grass will have only stamped in the exposed area's. I aslo done the same with the bee. The papers are Basic Grey "Blush". I have hundred upon hundreds of papers but these are always a favourite of mine. Used my Martha Stewart punch all the way round to create a border. Some flowers are Prima and the others are from stash, leaves are made with my L-Em punch. Added a sentiment from Hero Arts though I'm not to sure about it, think its a bit large so may change it and Bazzill to mat and layer. I do hope you can join us in this weeks challenge, if you've not masked before, its pretty easy, just remember to stamp your main focal point first. The DT have done a wonderful job with their cards, why noy pop on over and take a look
Happy Crafting!

Everybody Art and Charisma Cardz Challenges

This is one of my SN's that has never been used to thought it was about time that it saw daylight. Cololured with Copic Marker and White Inksenntial Pen, I added Flowers, Spacers and some Stamped Stitching. The papers are Basic Grey Porcelain but thought ahead and ordered 2 pads. I terrible for taking a page out of a new pad LOL. I used my Martha Stewart Punch and cardstock from Coredinations. This cards fits into 2 challenges, Everybody Art because I loved the Sketch and Charisma Cardz which is "Pretty Cards". Thank you for the lovely messages you left me re yesterdays post, I'm fine and its so nice to know I've good friends out there who will always keep a smile on my face. Have a good day!

Just wanted to say thanks for all the lovely comments I've been receiving lately, helped cheer me up! Hope to be back with something tomorrow!

The challenge at ABC this week is A Childs Card. I have used my gorgeous "Emmy" from Cuddly Buddly and paper pieced her with papers from the DESIGNER EXTREME Vol 1. The rest of her has been coloured with Copics. I followed the sketch over at Sketch and Stash, you need to have some sort of new stash and mine are the papers and this weeks theme at My Time to Craft is Hats. Other embellishments used are Liquid Pearls, Hero Art Flowers, Spacer and Brad. Leaves done using the L-Em Leaf Punch. Tab Punch and sentiment a from MSE.

My laptop is on a go slow, have been blog hopping on and off but wasting so much time when I could be crafting. So may just knuckle down to another card tonight, thats if theres any ink left in the printer LOL

Friday Sketcher

I loved this weeks Friday Sketchers. Not done a sketch like this before so was a challenge for me. I used Tilda with Rose and Valentine Scrirt stamps. Normally when colouring with Copics, I use the pen direct to paper, on this occassion I put the colours on an acrylic block and picked them up from there. The difference is amazing, alot more time consuming bit the overall finish is so much better.

Backing papers are from Bearly Mine Designs and Laura Ashley. The Flower is Prima and I have added some wire ribbon, rafia and a copper brad. A Metal Butterfly brad and the 3 ladybird embellishments. The die cuts where done with my Cricut.
Will defo be using my Copics again with this method, great for shading!
Enjoy the rest of your week.
