Up, up and Away!!!

Well, nearly there, still alot of packing to do and hubby has been off sick with "Man Flu" this week. All my stash has been put away for the time being. I just wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year whatever you are up to. We fly to Mauritius on Sunday. Its only a 12 1/2 hr flight but Air Mauritius are very good and the inflight entertainment keep the kids occupied. Just hope its as good second time round, will let you know.  I didn't send out as many xmas cards to fellow crafters as I would have liked so apologies for not being an organised crafter but I do intend on making more cards in the new year. I've lots of new unused stash to play with. Hope you have a lovely christmas holiday with friends/family and will catch up in 2009! I promise not to post to many holiday snaps, I know there are a few peeps who were hoping to fall into my suitcase, makes a change from a shopping basket I suppose (ROFL).

Thankyou for taking the time to look at my blog over the last year and heres to many more years of Happy Crafting!!!!

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - DT Card

Donna has come up with a great sketch this week over at the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge and this is my interpretation of the sketch for the DT. Recognise the stamp? Sorry, but couldn't help myself, he's become my best friend this christmas. The papers are BG Wassill. I have used my SU Scallop and Circle Punches and coloured image with RED sakura pen and Vanilla Promarker though I dont think this shows very well on the photo. The Mistletoe is Making Memories. Hope you can spare a few moments to take a look at other DT'S cards and if you've room in I assume a very busy schedule make a card for this weeks challenge.
Well I'm still behind with my crafting and need to get cards out in the post over the next few days to make way for the suitcases. Only 8 days till Mauritius and am now very excited! So apologies of I've not been to visit but I've a very busy week ahead of me and with any luck, it will go quite quickly! Today is my husbands 40th Birthday, he certainly looks different from when we first met when he was just 18yrs (lol), the kids have a few pressie to give and hoping we will be taking him out later for dinner then back for cake!

I Dont Do Repetition!

NORMALLY!
But as you already know I've fallen for the cute snowman and have done a matching set of 6. Think in all my years, this is the first time I've done a batch. Really need to craft tonight, think I'm pushing it now to meet my deadline but not feeling it today. Will have a try when the kids are in bed and see if I'm feeling inspired! This has been inked up with Memento Ink Pad and coloured with Promarkers. All mounted onto red cardstock and a christmas ribbon added along the bottom.

PB Challenge Card

This weeks chalenge over at Penny Black is a fab sketch. I used the "You Make Me Blush" stamp which I found a a cupboard the other day and coloured with Promarkers. The paper are Basic Grey Figgy. Highlighted with white pen and edged with black galaxy marker. Sentiment is Papermania stamp and mounted onto SU Punches. Added Crystal stickles to highlight snow and love the overall finish on this one.
Am going to see Zoe this afternoon in her school nativity play, she's a dancing star. Its the first time shes had a part on stage, normally she's a singer so tissue at the ready today. Have a great day, hoping to get some more crafting done later!

Mojo Monday/Lots to Do/Artygirlz & Stamp Challenge

Yes, its another card using my favourite snowman. Cant get enough if this stamp and its so versatile. Today I have made a 6 x 6 square card which actually covers 4 challenges. Think its a bit easy at the moment as alot of challenges are christmas related. Image stamped and coloured with Promarkers and Red Sakura Pen though the promarkers are not showing up on the scarf, I used "Vanilla" to colour. Papers are BG "Wassill'. The chipboard corner has been spritzed with Gilmmer Mists in both Black/Gold and Gold and sentiment punched with SU Punches. Dont be surprised to see this fella again soon, wont be long now till he's shelved!!!! And here are the links to the 4 challenges, Stamp something - Snow, Lots to Do - Christmas and Artygirlz - Favourite Medium, I just love my Promarkers and the are definitely my favourite medium and had to follow the great sketch over at Mojo Monday

1 Card, 3 Challenges........

Oh dear, Am I the only one who seems to be rushed off my feet or could it have something to do with Christmas and my forthcoming holiday approaching! Theres me thinking I had the week to craft and get ontop of making more christmas cards, blog hopping and visiting the forums. I've a hectic week ahead so will only be crafting in the evenings for the time being so apologies for not blog hopping, just cant afford the time but will visit if I can. Anyway, back to the card. Still trying to get christmas cards made up but found this stamp (another Ally Pally purchase). He needs little colouring but I love the image and think he makes wonderful cards. I am entering this in this weeks, One Stop Craft Challenge, this weeks theme being Blue, Crafty Muse which is to make a Christmas Card and Rainbow Lady which is snowmen. The stamp is by Hampton Art and have coloured with Promarkers and added a jewel to the star, may use this stamp on a few more cards this week to. Back to the laundry. I've a ton to wash before I can get it all in the suitcases so hope to catch up soon and keep my blog up to date.

Just getting this in time for the challenge over at The Sunday Stamper, which this weeks theme is red. Been a while since participating in this challenge so sorry Hels, but I'm here now!! Took a triangle card and stamped image from Debbi Moore Design, then used a white inkssentials pen and dotted all over. Really easy this one but like the overall effect.

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - DT Card

Hello to everyone. Another Saturday and another challenge over at the Secret Craft Saturday Challenge. This weeks theme has been set by KIM and the theme is EMBOSSING. This is my DT card for the challenge. I have run a piece of red cardstock through my BigShot using the snowflake Cuttlebug Embossing Folder. I then cut it into a Triangle and and covered with coloured jewels. A sentiment made using my SU punches, Christmas Flower and covered the card with Milky Gems. If you have time, do pop over to look at the other DTs work.
My daughter went to Cologne last night to visit the christmas markets with her school. I would love to go and visit myself one year! I'm hoping to be making more cards and need to sort the clothes out for our holiday to Mauritus, only 14 days to go.
Have yourselves a good weekend!

Dutchdare Challenge

This week challenge over at Dutch Dare is to use Scallops on your project. I have used my WOJ stamp again and coloured her with Promarkers. I found the papers amongst my stash, think they may be from English Stamp company but could be wrong. The scallop border was made using my SU Punch. I added Crystal Stickles to the card and highlighted the tree's but I dont think the photo captures this very well. You will see it better if you click on the photo for an enlargement. Sentiment is a download and used the SU Scallop Circle Punch. Snowflakes cut on the Cricut and added Liquid Pearls to the centre. Busy day today so dont think I'll be able to craft till later on but went made last night, and made quite a few. Will post soon.

Everybody Art Challenge

This card is a take of this weeks sketch at the Everybody Art Challenge. A great sketch and really enjoyed the challenge with this one. Papers are Basic Grey, image is WOJ and coloured with Promarkers. The frame was cut on my Cricut with the "Storybook" cartridge. I've added crystal stickles all around the frame to highlight. Flowers and leaves are Prima and the sentiment is Magnolia. Scalloped edge done with the SU border Punch. Sorry the picture isn't brilliant, I am really struggling to get a great piccie at the moment.
On another note, went back to the dentist for the last of my treatment. Spent 1 hr 10 mins in the chair having my root canal finished off but he's done a good job and its all over now. Am off now to make a start on a little project in mind, take care!

Another Crimbo Card.......

Another Crimbo card off the list but there is no way I'm going to be able to get as many as I would have liked made. My hubby is in Germany so thought I would have spent the last 2 days crafting but taken advantage and chilling out with my feet up. Back to reality tomorrow though. He'll be back and I can have the camera. Done a card this morning but cant take a piccie at the moment.
This card again is Magnolia and Basic Grey. Think I can safely say I "love" both of these. Again gone around the edge of papers with a Galaxy Marker. Silver this time. Coloured Tilda again with Promarkers and used a white Inssentials pen though I dont think it shows up very well. I will be adding a sentiment to this card at a later date which is why it looks a bit blank atm. Very cold here today and woke to a thick frost. Could only find 1 glove (lol) so cold hands on the school run this morning. Off to make another card, take care!

Everybody-Art Challenge

Here is my card for this weeks Everybody-Art Challenge, the theme being Christmas/Winter. We put our tree up last night so thought I'd be festive and take the piccie with the tree in the background. Not that I'm likely to see snow at Christmas, less than 3 weeks and were off to Maurtius. Just hope its as good as last christmas though we will be there for New Year as well. Just got to get my dental treatment finished this week. My card has again used the K & Co "Sweet Noel" papers. I love the colours on these. My new Magnolia coloured with Promarkers and the sentiment used with Safmat on my computer. I've again edged with a black galaxy marker, I really like edging this way. Must say a big thanks to those who have so far entered my Blog Candy. I've had some lovely comments and never new it would be this popular, so thanks for joining in & I'm so glad you like whats on offer.

Friday Sketcher

Another christmas card off the list and this one was made using this weeks sketch over at Friday Sketchers and what a fab sketch it is, am sure to use this one again. I've so many new stamps that are untouched so late last night coloured in my "Tilda With Hood". This is a gorgeous stamp and so easy to work with. Papers are BG "Figgy", coloured with Promarkers and Sakura pen. Have gone around the edge of papers with a black Galaxy Marker. I would use this as a top tip as it is so quick and saves using cardstock. Sentiment stamp from Magnolia, Prima Flowers and a brad and white pen from Inkssentials.
My Blog Candy will be here very soon, so keep your eyes peeled. Happy Thursday!

Stamped Image Folder

I made one of these a few weeks ago for a blog buddy and have promised my tweenie (we share the same birthday) some stamped images so made another folder to pop them in. Cant believe this one involves no stamping whatsoever. I did intend to put an image on but I think less is more in this instance. The paper and stickers are Basic Grey "Wassill". The flowers were punched with the same paper and the leaves are from my stash, I love these little leaves and have used them on a few cards now. The only other things I've added are Liquid Pearls and a piece of lace. the tutorial for this folder can be found HERE and is very simple to make. Hope you like it Ann!

1 Card, 2 Challenges........

Morning everyone, this is my card for this weeks Sketch Saturday and Artygirlz. I have used my "Liliy & Milo" stamp which has been in its pack for months now so thought it was about time she surfaced. I've coloured her with Prisma Pencils & Sansodor, added some stickles and highlighted around the image with a Promarker. The Backing paper is Paper Pizazz and cardstock from my stash. Flowers are Prima and the centre is gold Liquid Pearls. Sentiment made on my computer. Got the house to myself for a few hours and will be making a start on another little project today. Cold and gloomy here but at least the cold wind has died down making it more bearable. Have a good day!

"Tilda with Rose" - Dutchdare

This card is for this weeks DutchDare Challenge which is to use 3 flowers on your card. Its the first time I've used this stamp and my new Storybook Cricut Cartridge, and both have the Wow factor. I coloured Tilda with Prisma pencils and Sansodor. The backing paper on the card is the new download from Making Handmade Cards. I cut out the piece above the image and the trelis with my Storybook cartridge, I think this is one of my favourite cartridges now as it has great elements on it! Other products used SU Scallop Punch, Ticket Stamps, Prima Flowers and brads.
Sorry for being a bad blogger lately. What with loosing my connection and been generally busy with other things, crafting seems to have taken a back seat though I would really like to get back ontop of it now! Hope everyone is well and will try and catch up with you soon!!

New Scor It and 1st Card!!!!

I didn't get a chance to craft yesterday but did receive my new Scor It...... I love this board though it doesn't come with instructions or any projects to get you started, so if any of you own one and have some tutorials or projects I could use, I would be very grateful. I came across the tutorial for a stair step fold card HERE. It was very easy to do and after my 1st try decided I really love these style cards. I used pearlescent cardstock. Paper from Imaginesec. The christmas tree is Personal Impressions. Stamped direct to paper and cut out. Used my new white pen and coloured the tub and dotted over the tree. Parcels and sentiment are Papermania. Snowflake is K & Co. Will be making more of these cards and this one fits in with 2 challenges. Papertake weekly which is Snow, or anything snow related and Cute Card Thursday which is red and green. Think I can get away with that as both are on the card (haha). Off to catch up with the chores, must tidy my table first, cant beleive how much mess 1 card can make. Enjoy your day!

Remember the new stamps are now on sale and a bargain at £3.50.

Unfortunately I had to pick Daniel up from Boarding School last night as he wasn't feeling to well, nothing major, just a bug. But the good news is I dont have any school runs this afternoon so a day of playing with my stash and maybe a big of hopping!
Started my Root Canal treatment yesterday, 45 mins in the chair but had my I Pod plugged in so it went pretty quick. Back next week to get it finished. Those dentists just love to charge dont they - OMG, £495!!!!

WOJ - Snuggle up!

You'll have to excuse the picture quality on this card, its pouring with rain and very dark, even though I took it at 2pm! The stamps are WOJ. The chair was stamped direct onto BG paper and cut out. I coloured the girl with Promarkers and then added her to the chair. The fireplace was cut on my Cricut using the Christmas Cheer Cartridge. The mugs on the fireplace were also from the same cartridge. I've spritzed the mantelpiece with Gold Glimer mists. Sentiment done on my computer and punched with SU punches.

More Birthday Thanks!

Just a quickie to say more thanks from Daniel. He opened the remaining cards he received last night and would like to say a great big thankyou to
SHE, GINA & FAMILY, JOEY AND GANG, LORRAINE A(fab notebook, he loved it), NANCY,
ENRICA, WISHCRAFT, RANDI, ROXX, AVRIL & FAMILY. Our living room is full of these wonderful creations and Daniel really needed a smile on his face last night. Someone has stolen his I-Pod from school. He is totally dependent on it for his long journeys to and from. So more cards help put a smile on his face.
Thanks Ladies,
Back later today with another card, I'm not going out in that wind - No Way!!!!!!
TTFN and Thanks
Claire and Daniel

3 Challenges In 1........

This cards fits in with the Artygirlz Challenge which is Blog Inspiration, (I took the pink from my blog). Spoonful of Sugar is "A Childs Card", well I think this fits that one as well, and ABC Challenge which is a quick card. Simple mat and layering so no time at all really. I made this card with BG "Eva" papers. Stamp is Sarah kay which has been coloured with Prisma Pencils and Sansador, have added a little dab of Pink Sakura pen. Other items used are SU Sentiment, SU Punches,Prima Flower, Golden Leaves, Liquid Pearls, a Rub On and "Friend Sentiment" made with Safmat on my computer and my new Fiskars Waterfall Punch. Have for a 1st decorated the insert. Paper again "Eva", text on my computer and the embellishment on left hand side was stamped with my new set from Creative Expressions and added a Sakura Glitter Pen to parts of the image. I now have nearly 70 Challenge Links on my sidebar so although I dont often combine challenges, its a case of having to. As much as I would like to sit and do every challenge individually, there just isn't enough hours. The only solution I can think of is to clone myself (lol).
Off to the dentist soon, large filling has come out and I need an Extraction, though I'm not sure if that will happen today. Enjoy your Friday!

Ickle Tilda Notepad

I recently read on someones blog that Asda sold ickle notepads for 10 pence each. Well I was in there the other day and bought a handful of them. This is the first one I have covered and think they make great little gifts and at a great price. I covered with paper from my stash (not sure what) and stamped a swirl in the corner (Dawn Bibby's). Coloured Tilda with Prismas Pencils and Sansador and added a button and fibres. "Beautiful" and the little flys are from Technique Tuesday. The white stitching is a Doodlebug Design Rub On. Caught up with some of the chores this morning and am working on another card right now. Dont think this meets any challenges, but I dont mind, I enjoy my crafting and sometimes just like to do what comes to mind.

Dotties World - Colour Me Silly

Haven't crafted since last week and itching to get back to it so neglected the chores this morning! Its quite sunny here but cold so what better than to spend a few hours crafting before doing the school runs. This weeks theme over at Dotties World is "Colour Me Silly". I've used papers from DCWV and coloured with Dottie with Sakura Pens and Stickles. Added a sentiment and lots of different Prima Flowers and Brads. I love Dottie and think I'll be sending this to my neighbours daughter who will be 3 tomorrow.
Daniel has had a few more cards in the post and would like to say THANKYOU to Joy (craftjoy), Jason (USA) and the stickers and images, TerrieB, The Parson Family (USA), Wendy (craftybutterfly) and Christine Riley (USA). More fantastic cards to put on show, but running out of space and the cats keep knocking them down (lol).

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge 6 - DT Card

This weeks challenge over at the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge is a sketch by Wendy. Wasn't sure how I was going to work this sketch to start with but now I have finished the card, I just love it and am sure to use it again. My card is a 6 x 6. The only papers used are BG's Sultry. The Circle was cut with my Nestabilities and I've edged with a metallic ink pad as I felt another circle would cover up to much of the square area. The stamp is my new "Daisy" by Sugar Nellie. I've coloured again with my Prismas Pencils and Sansador and am so pleased with how she turned out. The sentiment I made on my Computer and printed onto Satmat. The scalloped border is done with my new Fiskars Waterfall Punch!

I must say a massive thanks to everyone who sent a card to Daniel, took 2 1/2hrs for him to open and we finished late last night. We ended up all going for a meal instead of the fireworks. I will post a list of names in the week, sorry it wont be sooner, but I have my mum coming to visit this weekend and we haven't seen each other for a year so will be AWOL for the next 2 days. Daniel loved his birthday and he was constantly smiling while opening them, he looked at every card in detail and read out every single word written, so you can see why it took so long (lol), Have a great weekend, and dont forget to pop over to the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge and see what the other DT's have made. Have a terrific weekend and thanks again!!!!!!!!!!
Love Claire (and Daniel)xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Daniel's Cards

And I must add my thanks to Ann R and Lorraine McCormack who were kind enough to send me a card and Cathy for the card and images. Will update if and when!
Thankyou All!!!!
