LOTV DT Card & Challenges!

Hello everyone, so nice to be back cardmaking after a 2 week break with the children.  Don't know about you but it played havoc with my crafting. I hardly done any as we went on lots of day trips and enjoyed the lovely sunshine. Even managed to get hubby to take a few extra days.
 So onto this weeks challenge over at Lili of the Valley and with the Royal Wedding upon us, this weeks theme is "Love Is In The Air".
I just love these card blanks from Craftwork Cards, gives real definition I think. The image is from the LOTV Die Cut Sheets. This is "Fun Time Teddies".
Used Purple Bazzill, a sheet from 7 Gypsies, my favourite TH Butterfly Stamp, Wild Orchid Flowers, Stickles, Viva Pearl Pens,  Gold Glimmer Mist, Adirondaak Paint Dabbers, Pearls from Hobby House, Punched Leaves and Photo Turns and the Sentiment is LOTV from the new Additions Range.
I got another 4 Top 3 Blinkies over the last few days, it really is a great boost when your mojo is not on form and always puts a smile on my face.
Right, off to the dentist this morning then lots of catching up to do in Blogland and will try and find some time over the next few days. I've neglected so many. Another long weekend, hooray and my Birthday on saturday though nothings planned atm.

Vintage Butterfly Card......

This is one of those of those cards that came out of know where. Just before midnight last night I went into my craftroom to have a bit of a tidy as my desk was messy. Was putting a stamp away when this one caught  my eye. My Websters papers were out and so was my favourite TH Butterfly stamp. So I sat and played and this is what I came up with.
The annoying this is, earlier in the evening, I coloured an image for a DT Card, but trying to make it up was a nightmare. Couldn't decide on papers, embellishments etc so I thought I'd sleep on it. Spur of the moment seems to work for me!

The Websters papers have been stamped randomly with the Butterfly stamp. Used "Memories" to stamp in the box which was blank. MS Punched Butterflies which have been spritzed with Glimmer Mists and again the Gold Adirondaak Dabber, piece of Lace, Pearl Pen, Gems and lots of Stickles.

Let me know what you think, I'm rather pleased with this one.

And my usual list of challenges;
LadyBug Crafts Ink - Anything Goes
Top Tip Tuesday - Open Challenge
Anything Goes - Pink/Brown
Everybody Art - Pearls
Flutterby Wednesdays - Soft/Pastel Colours
Kaboodle Doodle - Thoughts of Spring/Easter
House of Gilli - Stripes and Bling

Stamps & Fun Creativity - Spring
Paper Sundaes - Texture
Sentimental Sundays - Celebrate Spring-Easter
Daring Cardmakers - Spring Fling
Totally Papercrafts - Springtime
Aud Sentiments - Anything Goes
Truly Scrumptious - Vintage
Pile It On - Smells Like Rubber

Have added this card and more stamps to my EBAY.
I'm going to be quiet during the day for the rest of the week. Will blog hop when I can but not much crafting. Convinced hubby to take a few days off and with the Bank Holiday we will get some family time. He works long hours and trying to get him to take a few days holiday is a nightmare. So lots of day trips planned. Not gonna miss out on this glorious weather we are having here in Kent.

Have a lovely day and enjoy the rest of your week

CES Challenge DT Card & other challenges...

Another sunny morning here in England with the warm spring days finally here.
Today over at the CES Challenge Blog we have a new challenge.
Thanks to all who took part in last weeks "Childrens" challenge, so many wonderful entries. This weeks theme is "MONOCHROMATIC". I thought this was going to be quite tricky as I couldn't see this little cutie all in brown but am pretty pleased with how my card has turned out.

The stamp is "Fairy Kiki" from Mo Manning. She's been coloured with Copics and a few White Dimples on her cheeks with a White Gel Pen and cut with nests. The papers are Fancy Pants and most of the embellishments on this card are available to buy at Crafty Emma's Store where more new stash is due soon. The Scrabble Tiles are a Papermania Box and I just love using these. Papers have been distressed and again used my Gold Adirondaak Paint Dabber on alot of the card.I just couldn't do without this. Such a great effect. The butterflies are a MS Punch. I have stamped over them with my "Field of Sky" Stamp and added Pearls using my new Pearl Maker Pen. Pretty much the same as Viva Pearl Pens, just a different variety of colours. Swirls are a Marianne Die and I've used the Gold Dabber and again the Pearl Pen. Lots of Stickles and I found my Magnolia Birds in a draw so inked one up and added it to the card.

Heres my usual list of challenges;
One Stop Craft Challenge - Monochrome
Sukkersott - Bursting with Flowers
Card Makin Mama's - Embellish It

Another Altered Canvas

I've been having another play today. I've a new dishwasher and tumble dryer being delivered this afternoon so cant use the kitchen sink and opted for my craftroom instead. I managed to find where I bought my previous canvases and ordered a few diffent sizes. This is about 3 x 3.  The image is from Magic Moonlight and have edged with my Gold Dabber. For the background I have used Distress Inks and Glimmer Mists. Flowers from Wild Orchid,Charm, Ticket and Hat Pin from Crafty Emmas Store and other bits from stash. Stamped Corners are the new Additions from LOTV being released 19th April.
This was me just playing around but I always enjoy altering canvases.
I have decided to try selling some of my cards/craft on ebay. So many are giving this a go and my work just sits in a box unless if for something specific so will be trying to get more on ebay over the next week or so including my canvases. Its a shame to stick these in a  draw and we could all do with a few extra pennies. But thats my fault for always buying new stash LOL.

Here are a few challenges my canvas fits into;
Anything Goes - Pearls
Spoonful of Sugar - Tons of Texture
I Did It Creations - Anything Goes
Catch the Bug - Anything Goes
Dream Valley - Things with Wings
Flutterby Wednesday - Open Challenge
Secret Crafter - Butterflies
Simon Says Stamp & Show - Anything but a Card
Allsorts - Bloomin Blossoms

Sorry I've not been in blogland much this week, but hope to catch up with some of you over the next day or so.
Let me know what you think and I'll be back tomorrow with my card for a new LOTV Challenge.

Take Care
Hugs
