Hope you can join in this weeks challenge, think it will be alot of fun and please do take a look at which fab creations the DT have come up with, including Suzie who is again our GD this week.

Crafty Creations and My Time To Craft Challenges

For once I have made a piece just for a challenge, no other reason. It is nice on the odd occassion to just sit and play and after finding this fab tutorial HERE I decided to give it a go. My Scor Pal does not get the use I intended so I blew off the cobwebs and this is the end result.
I am so pleased with the it. The stamp was being produced by Bearly Mine Designs. They are from the Lumas Thorne set. The shop does stock some fab backing paper CD's so your should take a peak in the shop.

I have a piece of double sided Crate Paper. Coloured the image with Copics and Prismacolour Pencils and Sansodor. Flowers and lace from Stash. To finish I have added 2 Chipboard Corners that I have covered with a Rangers Acrylic Ink Dabber in Gold. Love this little box and hope you do to.
This fits in with this weeks Crafty Creations Challenge, inspired by colours and My Time to Craft is Floral Frenzy, the paper is all floral and the added flowers.
Enjoy the rest of the day, off to Tesco's soon with the kids and I've put a few bits on Ebay, so much unused stash, a total waste, so would rather it went to a better home. The link at top of this page.
Thanks for looking.

Secret Crafter DT Card - 3,2,1

The first week of the school holidays is now behind us and it has gone really quick. The birthdays are all out of the way so should be more crafting time for me this week. Todays new challenge over at the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge is a recipe of 3 Buttons, 2 Papers and 1 Ribbon. Now I have to confess to using 3 papers on this card. I misread the challenge but it does cover the 2 so hoping no slapped wrists for me this time LOL. I have used WOJ and coloured her with Copics and added lots of Crystal Stickles. Stamped a border and edged with Chalk Inks. I have added 3 buttons over the lace and added a flower to each one. Gold Ribbon and papers from Basic Grey.

I dont think I have used this colour combo before, different but its nice to play with other colours to. I hope you can join us in this weeks challenge. Remember all who take part in the challenge get put into the monthly prize draw, and do stop by and see what gorgeous cards my other DT buddies have come up with. Please do go see what lovely creations my fellow DT have come up with and hope you can play along this week.
Another viewing today, so hoping hubby is going to get the kids out of the way as I only have a few hrs before they view and I have not started the chores yet. Weathers looking good after yesterdays rain and thunder so I think BBQ is on the menu today. Have a lovely weekend and please feel free to enter my blog candy!

Stampin For The Weekend DT Card & I Have Candy!

Challenge 8 over at this weeks Stampin For The Weekend and it has gone so quick. Thankyou to everyone who has taken part, its great to have your support. This weeks challenge is "Masking", one of my favourites. I have used PB, Pink Toes and coloured with Prismas and Sansodor. Then masked the whole image and used a Magnolia Stamp for the Background. This had been coloured with a mix of Prismas and Spica Pens. The backing paper is BG Wisteria and added lots of pretty embellishments to blend with the summery feel. The leaves I spritzed with Glimmer Mists but I dont think it shows to well. Dont do many purple cards myself but I love the feel of this card and of course the MS punches really do make a difference.

Hope to see you again over at Stampin For The Weekend, my DT buddies again have some lovely cards for you to see and our sponsor this week is Windrush Cards and Crafts, they have this gorgeous House Mouse Stamp to offer the lucky winner of this weeks challenge.

I had made an insert for this card using the Extreme Designer Inserts Disc from Bearly Mine Designs, but there is a paper jam that I just cant see so will have to take another look. I prescheduled this card and it was gone midnight. All I can say is, it must be a very small piece of paper as I cannot see anything there.

On another note, it was my daughter, Jessica's 14th Birthday yesterday. Nawty mummy forgot to put it on my blog, as I did for Zoe last week but I think I've got away with it. We all went to Pizza hut when hubby got in from work and as I type the 3 of them are on the singstar, sounds more like the cats choir - LOL.
Remember my Candy, it will be fixed at the top of the page and is open to everyone.

Cupcake Craft Challenge DT Card - Christmas / Sketch Saturday

Good morning everyone. Had a pretty hectic week with one thing or another and am hoping to come back down to earth this week. The Cupcake Challenge theme this week is "Christmas Cards" which has been set by the lovely Pops. I really dont mind a challenge like this as I am one of those who always leaves it way too late but have managed 2 in the last few weeks (Whoopee)!! I actually used a stamp from Gorjuss Set 3. I do enjoy making more non traditional christmas cards and I thought that the crowns they are wearing were quite fitting for a christmas card. I have coloured her with SU Watercolour Crayons and Copic Markers. Stippled and inked around the frame. The papers are from Fancy Pants "Happy Holidays" and the sentiment, snowflakes and postage stamp are all from a set of Inkadinkadoo. I've had the set for years and use them every christmas. Added a piece of Gold Lace to finish and followed the sketch from this weeks Sketch Saturday. My card also fits this weeks Cute Card Thursday which also has a Christmas Theme.

I do hope you can join in this weeks challenge, the rest of the DT have some lovely creations and we'd love to have you. Thanks for looking and see you tomorrow with another post.

Good morning everyone, a lovely warm day here and another challenge from Lili Of The valley.

This image is a RAK that was kindly sent to me from Denise at Whimsy Stamps. Whimsy Stamps have a fantastic range of stamps and the animal collection is one of the best. I got delivery of my SU Watercolour Crayons the other day so thought they would be great to try out. Distressed the paper edge with a chalk ink pad and added some faux stitching.

The rest of my DT friends have some lovely examples for you to see, and we do hope that you can join in this week. I also believe there is a little something for the winner for this challenge

Happy Birthday Zoe!!!!

Today my beautiful daugter, Zoe is 7 years old. This picture was taken on sunday. She had a party at an indoor play centre with some of her school friends. She loved being the centre of attention and they all had alot of fun. So HAPPY BIRTHDAY Zoe and may you have the bestest birthday.
She also has her school leavers concert this morning, so me and hubby are off to watch the show then back to wrap pressies.
Zoe will be going up to Junior School in September. We have just heard that there have been 2 confirmed cases of swine flu and another swine flu student at Jessica's school to, so am going to be very cautious over the next few weeks. A bit to close for comfort but what can you do?
Anyway, busy day ahead, and nearly forgot, I must pop to supermarket and buy her a birthday cake (another one lol)!!!

Inspirational Card Sketches -DT Card

This weeks Inspirational Card Sketch is a fantastic sketch for you to work with. I looked threw a few Cricut Cartridges and cut this flourish from the Storybook cartridge. Tilda has been coloured with Copics, the papers are K & Co "Swell Noel" and have distressed both the bazzill and papers with a brown chalk in pad. Added jewels and a epoxy sentiment. Didn't want to smother this card as I felt the busy backing paper was enough for the eye.

This week Squigglefly is sponsoring the challenge and they have a prize of 3 images of the winners choice to offer one lucky person. Please do take a look at what my fellow DT's have made and I hope you can join us this week.

I have just got delivery of the SU Watercolour Crayons and Blender Pens. Wow, they work a treat and think this will be my colourng medium quite alot now. I've been experimenting with papers as I found that some will pile. I found that the Concord Record Cards work a treat. So my next post will be with this colour medium, oh, and watch out because I have BLOG CANDY coming this week!!!

Cupcake Craft Challenge DT Card

Hello everyone. So sorry I have not been around for the last few days. I have had a mild infection in my stomach and have been resting when I can, but am feeling better now.
Todays Cupcake Craft Challenge has a new owner. Donna came to the rescue and has taken over the challenge after Lauren had to step down. Just want to say thanks to Lauren for all her hard work and good luck Donna, the team are right behind you!

This weeks theme is Blossoms and Butterflies. I have used a backing paper from Bearly Mine Designs. I've used stickles and a white pen to highlight. The fairy is Dovercraft and the butterflies are MS Punch.
Please do take a look at my fellow DT's have come up with and I do hope you can take part in this weeks challenge.

Yesterday we had Zoes' birthday party at an indoor play centre. She will be 7 this wednesday. I have got the most hectic week ahead of me so I wont be about much to blog hop or chat. Apart from getting the pressies sorted, Zoe also has her leavers concert on the same day as she is off to the juniors in September. My eldest is going away with the school at the end of the week, she has kindly given me a long list of what I need to buy, a pile of washing and a list of things to pack and Friday Daniel has his leavers concert as he will be starting Senior school in September. After our very lengthy and expensive battle with the LEA, Daniel will be boarding at a special needs school for mainly Aspbergers (Autistic) children in Margate from september. Its very sad that he will not be at home during the week but its a 2 hr journey each way and we felt this would be the best option for him.
Anyway, enough ranting. So much to do, I dont really know where to start. If I can find a spare slot this week, I will try and get to visit some blogs.
Hope all are well

ICS DT Card

Dawn has come up with a fantastic sketch over at this weeks Inspirational Card Sketches and I couldn't wait to have a go at this one. I rotated the sketch, which I dont normally do but it worked for me in this instance and am pretty pleased with the outcome.
Used Gorjuss from Set 2 and coloured with Copic Marker Pens and Shimmerz Paint. The papers are We R Memory "Tiffany". I have use both the Martha Stewart Lattice Border and Butterfly punches. Lace. Pearl Beads, flowers from stash and the sentiment is a strip from the same paper pack.

This is another insert from "Extreme Designer Inserts" available at Bearly Mine Designs. Choosing a colour to match just isn't a problem as there are so many colourways to choose from and they can be resized simply but dragging to your chosen dimensions.

Please do come join us at this weeks Inspirational Card Sketches, we have a great prize up for grabs and as usual the rest of the DT have come up trumps again!

Thanks for looking!

Secret Crafter DT Card

Hello everyone, a little cooler now, but personally I enjoy the hot sunshine. Another weekend upon us and another challenge over at the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge. This weeks theme is 3 Ribbons and has been chosen by my blogging buddie Cathy. I had to open up my new pad of My Minds Eye, Bloom and Grow. These papers are gorgeous and the colours are so fresh. Dont think I've done a green/orange combo before but they work a treat. Gorjuss has been coloured with Promarkers and highlighted small area's with Smooch Paints. I had to use my new MS Border punch and all the little confetti hearts that were left over, I used my quickie glue pen and added then to either side of Gorjuss just as extra embellishment. I have hand tied a bow and the other 2 pieces are on the right hand side of the card. I used a sentiment from WOJ and have distressed all the papers with an olive green chalk ink pad. All the other bits are out of my stash.

This insert is just the most perfect match. It is again from Extreme Designer Inserts from Bearly Mine Designs. It would take me forever to create an insert as beuatiful as this by hand and to have the matching colour ready and waiting at the click of a button is most definitely a plus. It is available to purchase from Bearly Mine Designs and free P & P within the UK.

I do hope you can play along in this weeks challenge. Last weeks challenge was another great success and we love seeing what you come up with. Dont forget to see what inspiration the rest of the DT have to show.

Thanks for looking and am sure to be back with another card soon.

BTW, for those who have been asking, our house is still on the market. A few viewing and I cant believe how fussy peeps can be. We had a lovely elderly couple come look the other day. Said they loved it and was on the short list, then when speaking with the agent this afternoon, they now say they are no longer interested as the living room is in the wrong place!!! OMG. Sorry, thought most living rooms were at the front of the house, after all, all the other matching houses in the road have the same layout. It is getting frustrating though as we have lost the gorgeous house we had our eye on. But I've my eye on another and am taking hubby for a viewing today, though told myself I must not get attached as its all too stressful.

Stampin for the Weekend DT Card - Challenge 5

Wow, cant believe how quick the time has gone. We are now onto week 5 over at Stampin for the Weekend and a massive thanks to all of you who are taking part in the challenge, a roaring success so far. This weeks theme is double or nothing. We have provided not 1 but 2 sketches for you to choose from.

My card is a 6 x 6 and the papers are K & Co Wild Rasberry and the image is from Pink Gem Designs who also happens to be our sponser this week. I spritzed the nestie dies with glimmer mists and then stamped the image and coloured with Promarkers. Used an MS punch for the border and lots of pretty flowers and leaves to co-ordinate. I just love the scrabble tiles, and think they blend so well with the papers.

The insert is from the Designer Extreme Inserts available from Bearly Mine Designs. You can guarantee at least 1 insert will match any of your cards and I couldn't live without it amongst my stash.

Pink Gem Designs are sponsoring us this week and Janet has a gorgeous stamp for this weeks winner + Cute Daisy May are also sponsoring this weeks challenge and are giving the lucky winner a choice of 5 digi stamps, so a double whammy!!!
Please do pop on over to the SFTW Challenge blog and take a look at what totally gorgeous cards my other DT buddies have come up with. We would love it of you could join in and we always come and visit your blog, just our way of saying thanks.
