Secret Crafter DT Card - ICS/PTW

This weeks challenge at the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge has been set by my blogging buddie Donna, She has chosen the theme of "Pink & Turquoise with a Hint of Brown". Thought this was going to be an easy combo but looking threw my realms of papers had a hard job matching the turquoise so done the best I could and this is what I came up with. The image is from my new WOJ Summer Set. Coloured her with Promarkers and Prisma/Derwent Pencils. Used my stipple brush again around the image, love using this to shade the card and mixing colours is easy. Not sure what the papers are, got a draw labelled "Bits", but there are alot of bits in there, good to use up scraps instead of wasting. Used El-M and MS punches and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts. Ribbon, pearls and dragonfly from stash.

I based this cards on the sketch from this weeks ICS. Next week I start my new DT post with the challenge blog and cant wait, some great sketches are on there way! And am also entering this into Papertake Weekly where they want you to use scraps on the card.
Dont forget to take a look at what the other DT's have made, wonderful cards/projects as always.
Enjoy what looks like a glorious weekend here in England and be back soon with another post

Whimsy Sneak Peak and Challenge Card

Whimsy Stamps have some new releases coming out on the 1st June and this is a sneak peak of "Princess Emma", isn't she adorable!!!
I've coloured Emma with Copic Markers and Derwent Coloursoft Pencils, blended with a Paper Stump and Sansodor. I've added Gold Smooch to her Bodice and Wand, these paints are brilliant!! The papers are K & Co and I have also used these with the Retro Flower Punch. The scrabble tiles I found amongst my stash the other day when decluttering, not all rubbish then LOL. Made the dangling charm myself and attached to the flower with a brad. Lace from stash and leaves done with L-Em Punch. Added a few pearls which meets this weeks ABC challenge which Whimsy are sponsoring and also meets challenges at Creative Card Crew (Pretty Flowers) and Spoonful Of Sugar (Lace).

Do pop over and have a look in the Whimsy Shop, the stamps are beautiful, and remember to pop back on the 1st June when you will be able to get your hands on "Princess Emma". Whimsy Stamps have been having "Sneak Peaks" all this week so have a look what the other DT's have been posting.
Remember Whimsy Stamps also have a challenge blog and you do not have to use their stamps to take part. HERE
Back tomorrow with my Secret Crafter DT card.  Have a lovely day and enjoy your crafting.
Thanks for Looking

Cupcake Craft Challenge DT Card - Crafty Creations Challenge

Wowzer, whats happened to the weather down here? Yesterday we spent the day in the garden, had a bbq and even managed to get burnt. I've got lovely strap marks (which I hate) and my Zoe has got burnt arms, poor girl. Alot hotter than predicted and supposed to be about 27oC today so the chores and decluttering will have to go on hold. I just love the sun and wont waste a single moment of it!
This is my DT card for this weeks Cupcake Craft Challenge which has been set by the lovely Erin and is a recipe 2-2-2. Please pop over to the challenge blog for more details.
I have used my new Anya reading her book. All the papers are BG Blush and I have paper pieced her dress and the book. The rest has been coloured with Copic Markers. For the 1st time, I have made my own hanging charm which I've attached through a spacer available from The Hobby House. The rest of the card are bits and pieces from stash. I'm terrible for remembering where I purchase certain things.

Do go take a look at what the other DT's have made, great examples and a fab challenge.
This card also fits into this week Crafty Creations Challenge which is Metal.
Hope the weathers good for you, enjoy your day and be back again soon with another post

Sorry I've not been in blogland much over the last few days. We've decided to put the house on the market. I spent 5 hours in the garage on Thursday just clearing and now have the rest of the house to go threw. Children on 1/2 term for the week and I will be doing my best to declutter. Have to say the weather is looking good, pub lunch today, BBQ tomorrow and they say as high as 28 degree's here by the end of the week - YAY!!!!!
So have a lovely week, enjoy the weather and I will try and visit as many blogs as I can in the evenings, amongst my crafting as my days will be taken up.
Enjoy and Have fun!

LOTV GDT Card

Hello everyone. Yesterday we had lovely weather here, so as blogger was playing up, I decided to take myself off to the garden centre and bought lots of plants for my pots and tubs. Spent 4hrs in the sunshine arranging and planting, and now the front of my house looks as pretty as a picture. I've still the back garden to do but have alot of pots out there, so am going to wait another few weeks before I do it as not all the summer blooms seem to have come out yet. Anyway, back to business,

Its Thursday and this weeks LOTV Challenge is a sketch for you to play with. This is my 3rd round as a GDT for the challenge and have loved each and everyone of them. For this challenge, I've done a card with no stamping - OMG!!!. Papers are K & CO, Bloom is Prima and sentiment I done on my Dymo Letra Tag. I found this machine in my craftroom the other day, totally forgot about but now its out, will be put to good use I'm sure. Rub Ons are Bo Bunny and I doodled round all the circles as they looked a bit plain.

A very differnt style of card for me, and I love the black/cream combo, actually one of my favourites.

The insert is another off the Designer Inserts Extreme, from Bearly Mine Designs and I found an insert that matched my card perfectly. Texted added to the page on my computer.

I do hope you can join in with this weeks LOTV Challenge, please do go see what other wonderful creations the rest of the DT have done, you wont be dissapointed!!!

Multi Challenge Card/DT's

Hello everyone, this is one of my new stamps I recieved from the lovely Denise at Whimsy stamps. I'm working my way through them and this is the 3rd one I have now inked up. He's called "Baseball Connor" and can be purchased from The Whimsy Stamp Shop. I've coloured Connor with Copics and Prisma Pencils, then edged with Fluid Chalk ink Pads. The sketch I followed for this card is PaperTake Weekly, a great sketch Dawn. The papers are all from the Bearly Mine Extreme Vol 1 & Vol 2. The insert has been created using the new Designer Inserts Extreme. All available from Bearly Mine Designs. I've distressed all the papers and again gone around with a green ink pad. The sentiment is computer generated and this will be going to my FIL for Fathers Day. Not like me to get stuff done in advance but I am so busy with my crafting nowadays, thought I's strike while the kettles hot so to speak. My card also meets a few other challenges this week and Whimsy Stamps are sponsoring one, so if you'd like to be in with a chance, get yourselves over to Spoonful Of Sugar who are celebrating their 1st Birthday and their theme is "Celebration". The final Challenge is Simon Says Stamps and this weeks challenge is "A Boys Card". This has been sponsored by Bearly Mine Designs and you could win the Designer Extreme Vol 1 that I have used on this card. So please take a look at the challenges as there as some great prizes up for grabs.

The inserts are all stunning and there is a great variety. You can add text to them like I have done here!

I've added an EBay link to the top of my sidebar. I have been going through my stash and would like to rehome some of it. Alot more to be added, so keep checking.  Am also putting some of my cards there as well, you never know lol.
Thanks for looking, few chores to be done then another DT card, am I obsessed???????

My Exciting News!!!

More exciting news to tell. I've been selected to be on the DT for Inspirational Card Sketches. Woohoo, thanks so much Dawn, I really appreciate it. This is my 1st Sketch DT post and as I just love sketches cant wait to get started in June. Cant believe how much my crafting has turned around in the last 6 months and how many DT's I am now on. Started off with the Secret Crafter at the end of last year and never in a million years thought I'd have had so many blinkies on my sidebar. Its a great feeling and I hope that I have been a source of inspiration to some and helped others fill their shopping baskets LOL.
May be back later with another card, if not its the Cupcake Craft Challenge tomorrow and I'll be back in the morning with my DT card.
Have a lovely day whatever your doing and hope the weather is a little better than ours, think our spring has got lost somewhere....

Spoonful of Sugar/Papertake Weekly

I have to say I was pretty excited about posting this card. Its a long time since I got my Prisma Pencils out and I've never shaded to this extreme before but have to say I've even impressed myself on this one. Now I'm as much a Prisma novice as the next but I love the way the dress has turned out. I used 5 or 6 shades of red on this and I'll tell you how I did it. Am sure there are more qualified crafters out there than me but we've all got to start somewhere and if it helps then I'm happy!. Basically I started with the lighest shade adding the most colour around around the edges then blended inwards. What I mean is I used circular motions on the cardstock but bigger circles so adding more pencil to the cardstock. Then as I worked my way down through the colours I added less and didn't blend in as much. I found the with the deepest colour which is last, I just had to work it a little. Trying to make it sound simple. Just keep going over and touching up till your happy with the results. I'm sure someone will tell me I'm doing it all wrong, LOL!!! This gorgeous stamp is from Motivet and its called "Doraline holding a ladybug". Isn't it the cutest!
I used Prima Paper and Nesties for the die. Flowers are Prima and all the other bits are from stash. I'm entering this card into this weeks Spoonful of Sugar (buttons) and Papertake Weekly (Animals). I've bought a few of these gorgeous stamps from Motivet and can highly recommend the,. she also offers a great international service.
Need to get on with a few DT cards and will be out of the house during the day tomorrow, so please leave a comment to let me know you have visited and I'll try and get an 1hrs blog hop in later this evening!
Thanks for looking

Inspirational Sketch/Whimsy/ My Time To Craft/DT Card

Another multi challenge card. My initial intention was to use my DT stamps and papers from Whimsy Stamps and Bearly Mine Designs. I took the sketch from Inspirational Card Sketches. "Rainy Day Emma" from Whimsy Stamps was paper pieced from free papers from a magazine, so is the pink strip down the side. All of the other papers on this card are from the new Designer Exreme Vol 2, paper CD from Bearly Mine Designs. The papers are stunning and I love the little extra's Donna has put on. See the little "Things To Do" list I have created, thats on the disc to, I just resized and added my own text. Coloured Emma with Promarkers and added flowers and gems from Stash. Sorry about the picture quality, its very dark here today. This also fits in with the Whimsy Stamp Challenge blog, theme being flowers. You dont have to use a Whimsy stamp to play along either, so go take a look at the current challenge and see what fab creations the DT have come up with. My Time to Craft have a "Kids Kards" theme so am also entering into that one to!
Edited this bit, weathermen have changed their minds from wind, rain and thunder to dry but very gloomy.
Garden could have done with a drop of water though.
Thanks for look......

EveryBody Art/Colour Create/Cute Card Thursday and Pink Elephant

Another blustery day here so chose to stay in and finish this card from last night. This card is for a blogging buddies daughter who has Cystic Fibrosis an has not been well recently so thought I'd do my bit to cheer her up,. She's not registered with Post Pals but is just as deserving so am sending this card to Abbie (Lyndseys Daughter) as part of Cute Cards Thursday's request "Happy Mail". Chose to use a Gorjuss and have paper pieced her using digi download paper collection from Sweet Shoppe Designs.I based the colours on this weeks Colour Create which is Green/Blue, Pink Elephant which is 2 Blue/Green/White and Everybody Art "Friends & Family". I've stippled around the image again, really enjoying this atm and added some swirls for pattern. The sentiment was computer generated and used my SU punches. Retro punch for the flower and a piece of lace from stash. Coloured with Promarkers and added stickles to the flowers on her head. I do hope Abbie likes my card, and hope it puts a smile on her face.
Thanks for looking!

Cupcake Craft Challenge DT Card

A new challenge over at The Cupcake Craft Challenge and this weeks theme has been chosen by the lovely Denise. "Card For A Man or Boy".   I used a selection of papers from Cosmo Cricket and the stamp is The Greeting Farm. Coloured with Promarkers and a White Inkssentials Pen. The circle sentiment is cut with SU punches and the leaf border and bird are K & Co. I stippled around the image with chalk ink pads and edged all the papers with a Gold Encore Ink Pad. Nice to make a male themed card for a change, honestly haven't done that many but the stamp is gorgeous and I will be using it again! Remember to pop on over to and see what great examples the rest of the DT have put together. Have a lovely week, its a blustery day here so don't think I'll be venturing very far.

Friday Sketcher/Spoonful of Sugar/Stamp Challenge

My mojo seems to be flowing atm and have made this card which meets 3 challenges. I couldn't resist the Friday Sketcher, a fantastic sketch designed by Carole. Spoonful of Sugar is Touchy Feely, lots of different textures on this one and Stamp Challenge theme this week is Pink, so though not intended turned out to be a multi challenge card. Papers are "The Paper Element" and have randomly added swirls to some. Image is Mermaid Anya from The Greeting Farm coloured with Copics. All the other elements on the card are from my stash.

Bearly Mine Designs have launched their new "Designer Inserts Extreme" CD this week. Donna would love me to show you some examples of these stunning inserts and I will be using them on on my cards quite alot, so keep watching. All I can say is, if you love paper CDs and dont always have the time then the "Designer Insert Extreme" disc is just for you and at only £8 is a bargain. You can see more details HERE.
Anyway, must crack on, house to myself for a few hours so am going to take advantage and have some "Me Time". I do use that word quite alot (lol) but any excuse to craft. Have a great week and thanks for looking!

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge-DT-My Call!

Yes, its Saturday again and Bank Holiday Weekend here in England (hooray)! and that means another challenge over at The Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge. This week I've the privilege of setting this weeks theme and I've gone for a very easy option "Flowers". Now spring has finally sprung I thought it was an appropriate choice. I love the image on this card, I've coloured it with Copics but it was a RAK and I haven't a clue what the stamp is. I'm thinking Penny Black?, so if anyone knows the name of the stamp or where it can be purchased, please let me know as I feel I really need this in my collection!! I've gone pink and green again, seems to have been my colour of the week put put it all away now so expect something different next time, just love this combo though, so complimentary. Used different shades of pink bazzill and my new Martha Stewart Punch (another). Paper is BG and punches from L-Em for the leaves and the Retro Punch for the flowers which I've edged with a green chalk ink pad. Spacer, velvet brad and crochet flower from stash and the stitching detail is a tape runner which I purchased at Ally Pally. I'm also entering this card into this weeks Crafty Creations which is sweet and yummy. Please do come join in with this weeks challenge, think we all have flowers in our stash somewhere. They could be made from punches, stamps or even handmade. I'd love to visit and see what you create!
Have a super duper weekend and hope the weather is kind to you!
