Sizzix Shaped Challenge Card!

I had seen this gorgeous Sizzix Die a while back and just had to have it. I love the shape and its just so sweet. I used Bazzill cardstock and backed paper from MME onto it, edging with a Chalk Ink Pad. The roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts, lace from stash and the image is LOTV coloured with Copic Markers and punched with a circle and scallop from SU.

I'm so sorry that I have been so quiet. Dont know where the days go. Took Daniel to the doctors yesterday as his temperature has been between 100 - 102c over the last few days. He has an ear infection and a stomach bug so wont be returning to school this week. Lucky me has him at home for 3 weeks then, and my eldest broke up today for the week.
I'm trying to get back into the swing of crafting and hope to be blogging alot more now.
These are the challenges that my card meets and will be using this die again very soon;

Crafty Creations - Anything Goes
My Time to Craft - New Baby
A Spoonful of Sugar - Shapes Galore
Stamptacular - Flower Power
Crazy Challenge - Spring (colours & flowers)
Charisma - Spring has Sprung (colours & flowers)
Colour Create - Choice of Pastels
Cute Card Thursday - Dimension
Crafty Cardmakers - Spring into Spring (colours & flowers)
Quirky Crafts - Flowers
Crafty Calendar - Flower Power

Back tomorrow with a new LOTV Challenge Card!

An Award and more candy on its way!

Today I received this lovely award from my blogging friend Nancy. The idea is you send on to 12 people including the person who sent it.
So heres my choice of 12!!!

I am still around in blogland. Unfortunately my son is at home atm with a temperature and earache. Am hoping to get him back to boarding school for a day or 2 before they break up. I'm pretty much ontop of everything and am hoping to blog a card within a day or 2.

And finally. It is my 4oth birthday a month today and am going to post a small candy to celebrate. As soon as I can get a decent piccie I will post on my blog.

Catch up with you soon!

I'm still here!

My mojo went on strike last week and I dont go near my laptop some days but am hoping that a bit of blog hopping over the next few days will cure me. Sorry I've not been to visit but hope to post a card soon. The weather is gorgeous today and I am having another clear out. Next stop Zoe's wardrobe. Out with the old and in with the new I say.
Have a lovely day and apologies for being so quiet!

LOTV DT Card & Challenges

Well that 2 weeks went fast and we had so many bloggers taking part in the last LOTV Challenge. Thanks for playing along, I thoroughly enjoyed looking at your cards and apologise to the few that I didnt get time to visit. This week we have a sketch for you. Your many flip or rotate the sketch and you DO NOT need to use LOTV stamps for the challenge.

I'm using another sneak peak from the new releases out next month. This is "In The Shed" and I have coloured with Copics, added a glaze to the tiled roof and some sparkle to the little puddle. Dont think this shows very well.
I had terrible trouble getting a decent piccie of this card but it is so much nicer IRL.
Makes a change to make a mans card as I do struggle but LOTV have quite a few fittings stamps so makes my life so much easier.
Others materials used are BG Granola papers, MS Zigzag punch, dragonfly charm, 1 crochet flower, few buttons and a sentiment.

Do hope you can join us again for our fortnightly challenge and remember to make a note that more new LOTV stamps are on there way soon!

Challenges that my card fits into are;

Cards For Men - Happy Birthday
Crazy4Challenges - Masculine Card
PaperCutz - AnythingGoes
Fun With Shapes - Happy Birthday Card
Quirky Crafts - Buttons

Thanks for looking and do hope you can join us at the LOTV challenge!

LOTV Sneak Peak (April) + Challenges

I hope all you UK mums had a wonderful Mothers Day Yesterday. I still had the chores and a sunday roast to cook but was thrilled with what I got.
My hubby bought me a Nikon D5000 Camera for Christmas and for Mothers Day he got me the Tripod which has been on my wishlist. Also got a plant and new top so didnt do bad...

Now back to my card, I think this new image called "Puss In Boots" is totally cute. This is a sneak peak from a new range of stamps from LOTV which are due for release towards the end of April. The rest of the DT are also showing sneak peaks and you cant find their blogs on the sidebar of the LOTV Challenge Blog.

For my card, I have used papers from Basic Grey. The image has been coloured with Copics and cut on my Nesties. Flowers are a mix of Prima and Wild Orchid Crafts. The sentiment is from TGF and a MS Border Punch. Oh, and a piece of Spotty Ribbon.

I didnt follow any sketch for this card. I seem to find that my unplanned cards often come out the best. Sometimes I just like to make it up as I go along, but have to say, I do love the end result.

A few challenges my card fits into which are;

Secret Crafter - Anything Goes
PaperCutz - Anything Goes
DutchDare - Colour Inspiration
Crafty Calendar - Flower Power
Ooh La La - Anything Goes
Die Cut Dreams - Pack a Punch

I will be back tomorrow to let you know the lucky winner of my blog candy. Mondays are always busy for me as I catch up with the chores and try to get the house back in order.

So thanks for stopping by my blog today and I'll be back soon with another card!

Challenge Card using LOTV "Thomas".

This is "Thomas". He's the latest addition to the LOTV Stamp Range. I have coloured him with Copics and used "Pumice Stone" Distress Ink Pad around the image and the backing paper which has also been distressed with a tool, as I wanted a more vintage feel to the card. The papers are 7 Gypsies and have used 3 MS punches. I spritzed the flower with Glimmer Mist then added some Gold Glamour Dust while it was still wet. The lace and gems are from my stash.

I would also like to enter this card into the following challenges;
SSDS - Open Theme
Lots To Do - Distressed
PollyCraft - Distressing

Thanks for looking and if you havent entered my candy, then please see the above post. It ends this weekend!

"Daisy" Multi Challenge Card

This is "daisy" from Sugar Nellie and she is one of my favourite stamps. I have had her for years and the poor thing hasn't seen daylight for quite some time!

I've coloured her with Promarkers and added stickles on the flowers. The papers are the brand new Basic Grey Kioshi Paper Pad available from BunnyZoe Crafts. Nikki offers a fab service and I only ordered these late yesterday afternoon and recieved in todays post. They are gorgeous, gonna have to get a reserve pad as well now. Flowers from stash and used MS punches for the leaves and the border. And this is not stickles, its called Glitz Gel from Imagination Crafts and I love the way this flows. The calander is from Maya Road and the die was cut with my Nesties.

For this card, I followed this weeks Sugar Bowl Sketch. I've not played along in this challenge and am not this time either. Just realised I've missed out the shabby LOL.

Anyway, heres a few challenges that my card meets. I hope to catch up with some blogs later if I can find the time.

Cupcake - Flower Power
Crafty Cardmakers - Feminine Celebration
Crafty Angels - Butterflies
Magical Crafts - Things with Wings
Polkadoodle - Wings
Crafty Calendar = Flower Power

Thanks for taking the time to stop and take a look at my blog. Much appreciated!

Happy Days!!

Sorry its a rush post, but Phew, just made it in time for this weeks Anyone For Anya Challenge. A fab sketch and had to use this as it ties in with my new Happy Days Stamp from TGF. She's gorgeous isnt she. Coloured with Copic Markers & Black Gel Pen. The papers are Dovercraft Funky Vintage and its not usually something I would use but loved the funky colours.

I've used flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and leaves made from MS Punch and as usual covered with Crystal Stickles.
My card also fits in with;

SSDS - Open Challenge
Stamp Something - Something Girly!
Creative Card Crew - Celebrations
Quixotic Challenge - Leave it out
Tellens Place - Bling It On
Lexi's Creations - Anything Goes

Jessica's back from her trip to Italy and had a fab time and Daniels home from Boarding School for the weekend so have tones of laundry , but am in craft mode and hope to be back soon with another.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by my blog. I really do appreciate it and love reading your feedback.
Have a wonderful weekend!

LOTV DT Card & Challenges

Today we see another challenge over at the LOTV Challenge Blog and this week we would like you to make an Easel Card. This is my 8th make and have used colours that I dont think I have ever used on a card before. Pink/Grey are such a great combination so I must used this more often. I've used a sneak peak which is due for release 10th March for the LOTV Shop. Make a note as I think they are going to be just as popular as the last launch.

(Click on photo for a better view)

I've coloured my image with Prismacolour Pencils, Paper Stump & Gamasol. Die cut with Nesties. Papers Magnolia (grey), Blonde Moments (pink). Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, Lace, MS Daisy and Leaf Punches and lots of stickles.

I think Easel cards are so hard to photograph, hard to get the angle and I know others will agree. I normally take at least 30 shots on all different settings.

So hope you can play along with the new challenge. All details can be found on the LOTV Challenge blog and it is NOT necessary to use LOTV products on your card.

Having a quick look, my card also fits in with the following challenges;
Simon Says - mothers day/girly
Lexi's Creations - anything goes
Creative Card Crew - celebrations
Cupcake Craft Challenge - round & round
The chores are done so am treating myself to a lazy day whatever that means!!
Thanks for stopping by my blog and dont forget my candy above.
