LOTV Sneak Peak and Challenges

Well I finally got round to finishing this card and am so pleased with the way it has turned out. This is a sneak peak of one of the many new LOTV Stamps that are due for release on the 10th March. Oh, they are gorgeous and just keep getting better!
Originally I just coloured this gorgeous image with Copics but got my TSV yesterday and wanted to have a play with it so distressed the background and covered with a layer of Crackle Glaze.

I then went on to distress all the lovely papers from Fancy Pants.
I've used the MS Butterfly and Leaf punches, flowers from stash and sentiment from a set I found in my draw whilst having a major sortout the other day. Added lots of stickles, string of pearls and a Gold Heart that I rubbed with Distress Inks and then edged with Liquid Pearls and sprinkled with Glamour Dust.

Had to take several piccies as the light is really poor today and I wanted to catch all the glimmer on this card. Its so much nicer IRL

I didn't follow a sketch, just done my own thing but my card does fit in with the following challenges;

SSDS - SPARKLE
CRAZY4CHALLENGES - TEXTURES
A SPOONFUL OF SUGAR - DISTRESS INK, GLITTER & PEARLS
FUSSY & FANCY FRIDAY - MOVIES (lump of sugar - (a girl who is band from hose riding)
SCRAPPY FROG - CHALLENGE YOURSELF (used Tim Holtz products)

My craft room is all tidied and am alot more organised. I cant remember how to change the lense on my camera as have a whooper on atm so will post these another time.
Forgot to say, my card below was featured on the Kraftin Kimmie Challenge Blog, and I got another Top 3 Award which I've proudly displayed on my sidebar!
Have a lovely weekend

Sketch Saturday and Other Challenges

Morning, its very wet here, not stopped raining and I am still full of cold. Kids should have gone back today but Jessica has a bad throat and Zoe's now full of cold and had me up 1/2 the night.
I did manage to finish this easel card though, not been up to crafting these last few days.
I took the sketch from this weeks Sketch Saturday, just love the Layout. The papers are the new Cosmo Cricket 6 x 6 "Material Girl" and my new "Bench Friends" from Kraftin Kimmies Stamps. I've coloured with Promarkers and Chalks. Lots of flowers, a few buttons, charm, ribbon & calender all from stash. Some faux stitching and lots of distressing on the papers.

My card also fits in with these challenges;

Lexi's Creations - Anything Goes
Paper Sundaes - Distress
Crafty Catz - Charming Bear
Saturday Spotlight - Distressing
Cute Card Thursday - Metal Mania
Crafty Calendar - Love/Friendship

I will be back at some stage with a sneak peak from LOTV. Did you know there are more new releases on the way very soon. If you like kitties and a few others then you wont be dissapointed. Watch this space for more details.......

Now must get the dreaded chores done, we are changing estate agents as our house has still not sold and they are coming this afternoon. Hope to get some crafting done inbetween if possible.

Today means a new challenge over at The LOTV Challenge Blog and we have another cracking sketch for you to use. Another new LOTV stamp amonst my stash. This is the first time I've inked her up and like all the LOTV Stamps, a pleasure to colour!

I used quite alot on this card. Papers from Crate, Nestie Die, MS Punch, Corner Punch and Swirl Punches. Ric Rac Ribbon and Button and Flowers from stash. The image has been coloured with Copics, Spica Pens and Stickles. This card definitely has a spring feel to it. Just wish the weather would follow suite. For this card, I used this weeks Basic Grey Challenge Sketch and the Ambrosia 6 x 6 Paper Pad. I love orange/brown tones and dont make enough cards with these colours.
This is a Bildmalarnas stamp that I have coloured with Promarkers and Lyra Polycolour Pencils. Used a variety a MS Punches including the new Eyelet Heart and cut image with Nesties on my Big Shot. The flowers are a mix from my stash and added Crystal Stickles. Leaves also MS punched. Lots of Liquid Pearls in Gold and a few gems.

My Card also fits into the following challenges:-

Incy Wincy Designs - Punch It Out
Crazy Challenge - Flowers and Butterflies
Our Creative Corner - Something Old Thats New (Paper Pad been redundant for some time)

2 of the children off school. Unfortunately Jessica has different holidays so I still have to be up and take her to school. I've nothing planned for this week. Reckon we may get a bit of snow tomorrow. I think it will be a week of taking it easy. Crafting, Blog Hopping and if I get round to it, may have a sort threw my stash.

I have candy that I will be posting either later today or tomorrow. Just waiting on 1 item then it'll be up on my blog. I dont have any special rules, only that you post about it on your blog.

Hope to be back soon with another project. Have a lovely week

TGF Card and Challenges (Do'in my own thing)

Well I managed to get some crafting done this afternoon and this is the end result. I didn't follow any sketches, challenges, nothing. Just had a play with my new stamp from the GFT and some bits Tracy at Dies to Die for kindly sent me with an order.

The papers are MME and this gorgeous stamp has been coloured with Promarkers, Lyra Polycolour Pencils and a White Gel Pen. The loop punched border, oval and scallop die and MS Heart were all from Tracy and I used these as a base for my card. All the other bits are out of my stash.

I've made this card for a friend in mind.

The snow has now stopped and the sun is trying to poke its head out of the clouds. Dont think there is anymore forecast now so may be able to get at least 2 of the children back to school tomorrow. Daniels now home and has again started his half term early. He had bad snow last time they were due to break up so another extended break for him.

Now I couldn't not take a look and see if my card fitted any challenges, and these are what I found ;-
Die Cut Dreams - Have a Heart
Sassy Designs, Die Cut Dreams - Hearts and Flowers
Creative Inspirations - Anyone for Leftovers? (lace and punched leaves from scrap of card)
MTTC - Hearts and Kisses
Roses on Paper - Pink, Brown & Cream

Jo has a fab candy on offer HERE

I'm Just Lovin The Snow!!

Went to bed with a covering of 1 -2 cms. Woke with a good 4 - 5 inches and its been snowing for at least the last 8 hrs!
I love the snow and the kids are off school. Poor Daniel is stuck at boarding school though they are trying to make arrangements to get him home as his school is shut today and tomorrow. So a day of messy hair, no makeup and a spot of crafting. Hoping you love the white stuff as much as I do.
Just waiting for a few items to add to my "Candy" then I will get it blogged. Have got LOTV Stamps in there to.
Enjoy your day, I'm off to make a card!!

Kramftin Kimmies and other Challenges

(click on photo for a better look)
We had a good hours worth of snow her 1st thing but it has now turned to rain. I love the snow and hopefully we will be getting more here during the later part of the week.

This is another stamp fresh from its packet. Kraftin Kimmies "Emmylou". She is such a sweetie and I coloured her this time with my new Inkadinks & Distress Ink Refills, then highlighted with Derwent Coloursoft Pencils. Added touches of clear Spica Pen and glazed parts with Rangers Matt Accents. I'm sure there is room for improvement but am pretty happy with how she turned out. The papers are a mix of Basic Grey, Daisy D & Papermania.

The Challenge over at Krafin Kimmies (be a little ripper) this week is to use tearing on your card. I have done this with the Red Dotty Paper. Another new MS punch in my collection along with my favourite butterfly punch. Flowers from stash, a bit of stickles and gorgeous ribbon from Bunny Zoe Crafts. The sentiment is IMO, stunning and have used this stamp a few times. Think I bought it at Ally Pally a while back but not sure of the manufacturer. Just says Stamps by Woo!

My card also fits into this weeks Flutterby Wednesday - open theme. Lexi's Creations - Spotted or striped, Crafty Angels - Whats Your Colour? ABC - New, Cute Card Thursday - Spots & Dots.

I'm hoping to have a little more crafting time this week as hubby is off to Frankfurt for a few days. So not only do I get some crafting time but of course I will be using the Porshe for a few days. Why leave it on the drive, its perfect for the school runs LOL.

Btw, massive thanks for all the wonderful comments I recieved on my last card. 100 posts - wow. Its reading things like this that maked crafting what it is and I thankyou so much.

Hope to be back soon with another card and I can smell "Candy" coming some time this week so keep your eyes posted!!
Thanks for looking and keep warm!

LOTV DT Card & Challenges

Hello Crafty Bloggers,
2 weeks have now past and we are onto another LOTV Challenge. This weeks theme is "Valentines".
This stamp is my favourite out of the new "Spring Range" just launched and is called On The Garden Wall. I have coloured with Lyra Polycolour Pencils and added touches of Spica pens. The papers are BG Sugar Rush and could not do a Valentines card without using the MS Heart Border Punch. The gorgeous frame is Spellbinders and cut on my Big Shot.
We had a great response to our last challenge and hope you can join in again. I hear the new stamps have been a great success but remember you do not need to use LOTV Stamps to enter the challenge. Its open to all.
Please take a look at my fellow DT's cards. Simply gorgeous and I feel so honoured to be working alongside such a talented bunch of ladies!

There are lots challenges my card fits this week, so deep breathe!!

La La Land - Hearts
Creative Card Crew - Valentines
Papertake Weekly - Love Actually
Crafty Cardmakers - Hearts & Romance
Lexi's Creations - Valentines

Sketch Saturday and Stamp Something!

Isn't this stamp adorable. Another new stamp from TGF, coloured her with Copics and cut with Nesties. I loved this weeks Sketch Saturday and have for a change distressed all the papers and edged with a Fluid Chalk Ink Pad. The papers are a mix of K & Co Wild Raspbery and Fancy Pants. Sentiment from Magnolia which I thought was so fitting. Flowers are Prima and Wild Orchid Crafts and have added lots of stickles.
This also fits in with the Stamp Something - Delightfully Delicious.
Oh, also got the Top 3 Blinkie From Pile It On today. Thats put a smile on my face and given my mojo a boost for sure!!
Hope to be back soon with another card. We have a new challenge at LOTV on Thursday so have my DT card to do but would love it if I could spend a few hours crafting.

TTFN and TFL!
