LOTV Sneak Peak!!

I recently stepped down on from all my DT's as I wanted to spend more time playing with the challenges and just having fun, but who was I kidding and have really missed them all, so yep, I'm back with the Design Team at Lilli of the Valley and just in time for the launch of the super stamps due for launch next week.
This is a sneak peak of a card I am working on, just a few details to add, so will blog this card tomorrow. All I can say is they are gorgeous and its such a pleasure to be working again with Jacqui and the team.

Please remember you do not have to use LOTV products to join in with the weekly challenge.
HERE is this weeks challenge if you would like to join in.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE,
hubby has just gone out with the kids to get the pumpkin.

Christmas with a Difference

Was playing around with my Cricut the other day and cut out this envelope from the Christmas Cheer Cartridge. Didn't know what to do with it so it sat about for a few days before I decided to make a Christmas envelope and mini card. The papers used are BG "Figgy", ribbon from my stash and the flowers are what I bought recently at a garden centre. I bought loads of different bunches and just cut off the flower or leaf that I want to use. Makes a change from Prima flowers and works out so much cheaper! The insert is also covered with BG and stamped with Imaginisce and coloured with Sakura pens. Really enjoyed making this didi card, and think I will make a few more. This fits in with this weeks Lilley of the Valley Challenge which is Christmas Cards.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!

One Stop Craft Challenge V's TJ"s Card

This is the card I have made for T.J, Poppets son who (like my Daniel) will be 11 years old. I coloured Hamish with a layer of Copic in a light grey 1st and then went over with Prismas Pencils and Sansodor. Wasn't sure what to do with it next so looked at my forever trustworthy list of challenges and chose this weeks One Stop Craft Challenge which is a new challenge and they have started with a sketch which I really liked! Other products used are my SU Scallop Circle Punch, SU Circle of Friends Sentiment, Ribbon from stash, Bazzill Cardstock and some Glittery Gems. Happy Birthday For tomorrow TJ!!!!!

Sweet Child Birthday Card

My mojo isn't up to much at the moment but last night managed to make this card which fits the Crazy Amigo Challenge which is buttons. The papers are K & Co and the stamp is designed by my local craft shop. I've coloured her with distress inks. Other products used are woodware border punch,Prima flower, button and fibres from stash, SU Scallop punch,Bazzill cardstock and sentiment from Stamps away.
I'm still getting emails regarding Daniels birthday. I did say in my post that I wasn't trying to break any records but think I just may have done that. Well over 60 of you have contacted me and cards are coming from all over the world which I think is totally amazing. Have received 14 to date and postie hasn't been today yet. So again I would like to thank each and everyone one of you,

"Chicky Night Out"

This is a Penny Black stamp I got from Ally Pally and have yet to play with, so last night I got out my Prisma Pencils and was happily colouring till around 1am. The backing papers are downloaded from "FunkyFairy's", I thought I'd have a browse yesterday and the New Shabby Chic just fell into my basket along with a few others. My SU Circle of Friendship stamps arrived this morning, I've been waiting for these as think they are a great way to embellish a card and with so many to choose from, theres something for every occassion. Other materials Bazzill cardstock, Pink ribbon, SU punches. Dont think this actually meets any challenges but I wanted to try the stamp and will be using it again! (Click on top photo for a clearer piccie).
Another 4 cards in the post for Daniel today, and more bloggers contacting me, so thankyou very much. Looks like cards are coming from all over the world!!!!!!
Enjoy the rest of a very cold week.

Other item used are BG swirl stamps, SU Scallop Border Punch, snowflake punch and some glittery SA Jewels. Nice to make a card thats not in the traditional colours I think!
Also, can I say thankyou to those who are sending cards, a few more arrived in the post today. Its half term now so am having to look out for the postie so we dont ruin the surprise!! Have a great week, although it looks like its going to be a very cold one so I think I will stay home and craft, maybe the kids will join in to!

No Card, But I Saw Diversity!!!

Sorry I never got round to blogging yesterdays sneak peak. I decided to head off to Lakeside Shopping centre for the day with my daughter. Not been there for years but with Daniels birthday next weekend, I really needed to get some pressies for him. And without knowing, today they had opened Santa's Grotto and all the christmas decorations are up. The best bit of all, the dance group Diversity, who won Britains got Talent were in the car park at 1pm. Well, that made my day as I was routing for them from day 1. I think they are amazing so made sure we were back at the car park for 1pm. Ashley, (the tallest one) didn't make it to the show due to traffic but they rest of the boys done a routine and they were brilliant. Only problem was, it was cut short 1/2 way threw as the power went but we still enjoyed it and at least I can now say I have seen them. Didn't bother to queue for an autograph as it was eating into my shopping time. So tomorrow after my dreaded Root Canal, I will take a piccie and get the card up on my blog.
Hope you all had a wicked halloween and are now prepared for the kids going back tomorrow.
Have a good week

3 in 1 Challenge Card

Theres are alot of halloween challenges out there this week and this card fits these 3, Friday Sketcher, Papertake weekly and Spoonful of Sugar. I must thank Caz for the stamped image, I won it in her candy the other week and just new I had to colour one of the images. They are Hanglar and Stanglar. I do not own any of these stamps as much as I'd love to! She's been coloured with Promarker and I thought the white background was a bit too bright for the card so used my gorgeous Glimmer Mists, just not to sure if I've now turned her a bit too green, but being halloween it should blend. The papers are Bo Bunny and the flowers are Prima. I've never made a halloween card before but have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it! Have a great sunday, I've a roast to cook today....

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge

This week it is Donna's turn to set the challenge over at Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge and she has chosen a sketch. This is my DT card, I just love BG papers and cant stop using them. The Little Donkey from Alota Rubber, this has been used twice now as I think its a really cute stamp. I've coloured it with Promarkers, added black glaze pen on the hair, eyes and nose. The sentiment is a from a set (not sure who) and the scalloped border and circle I've just received from my 1st SU order. Added a stitched rub on to the scallop border and some flower jewels as I thought it looked a bit bare and hay presto, a finished card. I do hope you can join us at the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge, have a great weekend!

High Hopes & CBCC Challenges

This weeks challenge over at High Hope Challenge Blog is to create anything but a card. I have made this image folder. I found the tutorial while blog hopping and you can see it here. I used the High Hopes Mermaid stamp and coloured with Promarker and used Sakura pens on parts of it. The paper is double sided from Imaginisce and the rub ons are Bo Bunny. I've added 2 Prima Flowers and added yellow Stickles to the centre. This also fits in with the CBCC challenge that Catherine was kind enough to pass on, go take a look, this weeks theme just happens to be pockets! This is very easy to make, takes less than a 12x12 piece of paper and makes a nice change from cards.

This is the folder when full of images, its on its travels very soon to a friend!!

One Powerful Hour

Firstly, I need to say a massive thankyou for everyone who has offered to send Daniel a Birthday Card. I have spent alot of time emailing today and its eaten into my craft time but have managed a quick ATC for this weeks challenge at One Powerful Hour which is the "Moon". I have used Boys & Girls CD from Crafters Companion and coloured with Copics ands stickles
Today my husband and I went to see Daniel in his new school to see how he is settling in and showed us his work. Now for many months in the old school, Daniel refused to take part in the majority of lessons but in his new school because the class size is so small and he gets lots of assistance he sat the 11+ and found out today HE PASSED! Great news for us as it gives us more options for High School in September. We really didn;t know at the time whether he would refuse to do the paper or not so this is a major achievement and we are so proud of Daniel. Need to get some sleep but am pretty hyped tonight, so think I'm go and watch a bit of TV and see if I can unwind. Hopefully I will make a card tomorrow as I'm a bit behind with a few lists, sorry but will catch up very soon!

Friday Sketcher meets Basic Grey

I love this weeks sketcher over at Friday Sketchers and have used my BG "Figgy" papers to make this card. The snowman is a new "Sugar Nellie" coloured with Promarkers and a Sakura White Pen. I have used rubon stitching which is this week BG Challenge embossed white cardstock with cuttlebug embossing folder and sprayed with Glimmer Mists and punched out 3 Angels. The flowers are Prima and the stamped Ticket is a new "Autumn Leaves Set". The card is alot more colourful in real life and the flowers are gold but artificial light doesn't do it ,much justice I'm afraid.

Candy Coming Soon!!

I see I have nearly reached 95,000 hits on my blog. Wow, what a great achievement. To celebrate (because I cant wait to reach the 100,000 mark) I am going be to giving away a great candy as soon as my counter reaches 95,000 hits.
Now I've no card to post today but will be back tomorrow with my Passion for Promarkers GDT card.
We've been having terrible trouble with our AOL account this weekend, so sending and receiving emails isn't always working. My fault, I bought an I Pod Touch and wanted my emails added which has caused all sorts of problems but hubby is slowly sorting it out and hopefully it will be in full use again tonight. Been a right pain not being able to send emails but I consider this a minor blip, though hubbys choice of words were a little different LOL!!
Anyway, got a few errands though the weather is dull and dreary and I have 1 of my 3 children off for the holidays, Daniel breaks up tomorrow and Zoe on Friday. So lets hope Mr Sun makes an appearance over the next few weeks for the kids sake if nothing else.

Penny Black Challenge

This weeks challenge over at Penny Black is to create an ATC with one of their stamps. I found this cute teddy called "Flat Out" laying at the back of my shelf, I knew I had a few round there somewhere but this little fellow was flat on his face. I coloured the background with chalk inks and added a strip of paper from Karen Foster "Dog Chronicle" down the side. Coloured the image with Promarkers and added 2 Prima Flowers and a brad then sprayed over the whole ATC with Gold Glimmer Mist to give a delicate sheen. Haven't made an ATC in ages and it certainly made a nice change, just got think what I can do with this ATC now (mmmm!)

I Got An Award!

Big Thanks to my friend Sue for passing this lovely award on to me, what a nice way to start the day! Now I've got a task and a half as to who I should pass it to but have decided that this time it should go to all my fellow DT members at the Secret Crafter Weekly Challenge and to Cathy who was kind enough to ask me to be a Guest Designer for the ABC Challenge this month. I love all their blogs. Now back to my crafting!!

Ismaki Challenge

This is a challenge I have not done for a very long time but loved the sketch. I stamped the image (judikins) last night with Promarkers but wasn't sure what to do with it after that. Mental block, AHH!!. Ended up staying in craftroom till 1.30am this morning as I couldn't get the photo I wanted to upload so have had to use this image. Anyway, back to the card, the backing paper is Prima Marketing. I have mat and layered the image and added lace which is a optional theme on the Ismaki Sketch. The swirl and heart are T/Holtz grungeboard. I dont use this often but its very versatile and this time I've sprayed with Glimmer Mists in Antique Brass, Olive Vine & Gold. The gold has a gorgeous shimmer though I dont think this has been picked up. If you click on the piccie for a larger image you may see it in more detail. Rub on sentiment and a couple of gold leaves to finish the card. Made a change making my usual "Cute Cards" and am pleased with the overalll result. Hope you like it too!

Secret Crafter Challenge 3

Today is my 1st time taking part as a Secret Crafter DT member and this is my card for the challenge! This week there is no sketch but a theme, set by the lovely KIM which is "Blue, White and a little bit of snowflake!". Again any project can be made as long as it fits with the theme.I have used a 6 x 6 card and used backing paper from the Forever Friends Christmas Snow pad. The embossed cardstock is a Cuttlebug Snowflake Embossing Folder and buttons from my stash. I've coloured the snowman with Prisma Pencils and Sansodor and cut out and matted adding some stickles to him. The sentiment is from HOTP and the flowers behind were white but have sprayed with Glimmer Mists and dried with a heat gun. If you look closely, you can see small area's have dried like glass on the stem. Finished the card with a punched snowflake and stamped border. I really enjoyed this challenge and am thrilled to be a part of the team. They are all a lovely bunch of girls and have made me feel very welcome. Have a lovely weekend everyone, no doubt I will be crafting again at some stage.

Friday Sketcher meets Basic Grey

I just love this weeks sketch over at Friday Sketchers It looked a bit daunting to me to start off with. Think it was the circles cut in half but found my compass cutter which was ideal for the job. The papers are BG "Figgy", gosh, they are gorgeous and have edges with a brown ink pad. Tilda has been coloured with Prisma Pencils and Sansodor and added some stickles to her wings and bobble. I used a Prima flower and sentiment from HOTP & threaded ribbon through the buttons. Basic Greys challenge this week is a colour combo and I've chosen Red/Green. I just wish I had a better camera, they never quite come out the colour they should be but have played about with it as best as I can. ttfn

The stamp is new (another one) from Alota Rubber Stamps, its called "Sweet Little Donkey Set 1" and I got it delivered from the States. The backing papers are BG, Urban Prairie, this has to be my favourite at the moment. Coloured with Copics and used a clear sakura pen on the butterfly and flower centres. The flowers are Prima and the sentiment is Stamps Away. Love this little donkey set, a fab image and cant wait to try out the others.

More Great News

Next week I have been asked to be Guest Designer over at The ABC Challenge. It is my total pleasure and am thrilled to have been asked. So please try and remember to pop along to see what I and the other DT members have made on Wednesday! Its so nice so have been asked by not 1 but 2 DT's this week and I feel totally honoured! Cardmaking is more than a hobbie, its an addiction along with the shopping essentials, and I do feel I owe alot to all the challenge blogs out there, which have given me great idea's and incentive. I have made some great friends in Blogland, and blogging and blog hopping have become an addiction in itself. Thankyou all for visiting my blog and the lovely comments you have left, I really do appreciate it!!

Pink/Green and a bit more!

Firstly, sorry for the poor picture, it just didn't want to be photgraphed but is so much better than the picture. I made this card for the Spoonful of Sugar challenge which is Pink & Green, but it also fits in with Papertake Weekly which is a choice this week to celebrate its 1st birthday and Rainbow Ladys Challenge which is "Your Own Choice". The image is a new set purchased at Ally Pally called Little Lovins Kids. Coloured with Copics and Promarkers and matted onto pink Bazzill. The backing paper is Little Yellow Bicycle. Cut text on my Bigshot with (new) sizzlits - Tina Thinks Your Cute again with a dotty paper to match. Can you see I'm going through a flower phase, the last few cards have all got prima flowers on them, there are so many lovely varieties now I just have to have them all! The golden leaves were also purchased at Ally Pally, they come connected and you just snip them off, they are from Ribbon box and I've just ordered more in other colours as they are gorgeous. Hope you all have a lovely sunday, we had a takeaway curry last night and I sat up till the early hours crafting, think I was quite hyped yesterday and I have more news to tell shortly!!!

My Big News!

This morning, I got an email asking if I would like to become a Design Team member for THE SECRET CRAFTER CHALLENGE! Well it took me all of 2 seconds to come to a decision and as you can see by the blinkies on the right hand side of my blog, I accepted with pleasure. It was totally out of the blue and I am just so excited to be part of this new challenge blog. I'm addicted to challenges and think they are a great way of making you think outside of your comfort zone and trying new things. I hope you will come and join in our weekly challenge every Saturday, check out todays new challenge here!!
On another note, today, 22years ago I met my husband. We've been married for 14years now but cant believe I've spent over 1/2 of my life with him. To think he will be 40 this year, I remember his 18th but we wont go there (lol). And what could I get him to celebrate??? We are all going back to Mauritius over christmas and the new year and just by chance the final balance was due today, so I suppose that will have to cover it. Mauritius is a fantastic place, we were there for christmas last year but I really wanted to stay over new year as well so looked like my nagging payed off.......I do hope you can join in the weekly challenges and looking forward to seeing what you have made!!!
Must also say thanks to my mate Nic, who designed my new Header for me, I love it!!!
Have a great weekend, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY NIKKI!!!!!!!!

Got to play with one of my new stamps and just love the image. Think I've 8 or 9 WOJ stamps now, postie bought me more High Hopes from America Yesterday and Prima flowers from QVC. I could just sit and play all day but being Friday I've a busy day ahead of me so wont get much done today. The image was coloured with Promarkers, adding stickles for a bit of christmas sparkle. The papers are Papermania. It was only by chance the paper had Rudolph down the side, quite coincidental!!!! Added some flowers, brads and snowflake brad. This cards is going into the challenges at Whiff of Joy, which is a sketch this week and have to say I really liked it, and Dutch Dare which is "Christmas Card', think I got that one covered. Sugar Nellie - New christmas stamp

Just had to try out one of my new Christmas Sugar Nellie stamps but wanted something a bit different so here is my effort. I used a card that was from a challenge blog I won not long ago. I covered the card with papers on the back fold and the front of the card was covered with distress inks and then used a glimmer stencil that I bought from ally pally and sprayed with glimmer mists. Click on piccie for a closer view. The image was coloured with copics and stickles. Added some new Prima flowers, another Ally Pally purchase. Got more WOF stamps in the post today along with more promarkers, felt I needed more colours in my collection. Got another card to blog but if I dont get it on here today will post tomorrow!

The papers are from Basic Greys "Urban Prairie" and have used my nestabilities for the scallops. The image was coloured with Prisma Pencils and blended with sansodor. few flowers, liquid pearls and a sentiment to finish. I really like the overall finish of this card and hope the photo is a but better, I was playing around with the settings!!!

RAK ATC

Made this cute ATC as a RAK for a friend. The sheep is Magnolia which I coloured with Copics. The backing paper was a freebie in a magazine.Lettering was done on my Cricut and finished it with some Gold Mesh and Ric Rac ribbon. Not only did I spend an absolute fortune at Ally Pally at the weekend, I've had non stop deliveries all week and been shopping again tonight! I'm still suffering with tremours which is very frustrating and after a visit to the docs, she is getting an MS nurse to contact me. Suppose thats why I'm shopping, a bit of retail therapy never hurt anyone (except his wallet - lol)
