LOTV DT Card & Challenges!!!!

Another week has flown past and we see another new challenge at this weeks LOTV Challenge Blog. The theme this week is Lets G0 Dotty for Circles.
Meet James the Bear, he has been coloured with Prisma Pencils and Odourless Mineral Spirits. Cut with my Nesties and edged with a Gold Adirondaak Dabber. Yep, I'm still hooked on Glimmer Mists and have used lots of the Gold on this card. The papers are V & A and Secret Crafter. SU Punch for the circles and a Marianne Die for the Doily shape behind the image.
I thought while I'm making so many christmas cards at the moment I may as well put one to use and made this from my youngest to her Dad this year. Its going in the suitcase as we have just booked 2 weeks in Mauritius over the Christmas Period. This will be our 3rd Christmas there and we stay at the same resort every time. 2 weeks later, me and hubby are off to Las Vegas for 5 nights. Our house sale had fallen threw and we cancelled our summer holiday to the caribbean so at least now we have something to look forward to!

Anyway, I do hope you can join in with this weeks challenge, the rest of the DT have gorgeous examples and we'd love to stop by your blog and see what you've made.

Heres my usual list of challenges for this card;

Crazy Challenge - Never to early for Christmas Cards
Sew Many Challenge - Christmas in August
Creative Inspirations - Christmas in August
One Stitch at a Time - Say it with Shapes
Ellephantastic Challenge - Male Card or Project
Simple Doodles - Come On, Lets Celebrate

And Heres a Top 3 Award I've just received!

Thanks for stopping.
Happy Crafting!

Altered Canvas - T.Holtz.

This is by far the total opposite of what I'm used to doing but a few years ago I was making a lot of altered projects. I recently bought the T Holtz Caged Bird Sizzix Die and that is what inspired me to make this canvas. A bit of a challenge as its been some time but boy did I get a buzz when it was finished. Its not the best of photo's I'm afraid. Stayed up till the early hours to get it done and am so pleased with the way it has turned out. Maybe I'll be making more in the future. I covered the canvas with Distress Ink Pads and Glimmer Mists. Edged with Distress Crackle Paint and went over once dried with Gold Adirondaak Dabber. Used a few Prima Stamps for the background. Die was cut with Grungeboard and coloured with Distress Ink Pad, Black/Gold Glimmer Mist and Gold Dabber. Flowers spritzed with Brass Glimmer Mist and have added Vintage Photo Distress Crackles.

I am entering this into a few challenges that I wouldn't normally do, purely because its altered art and not a cute card.

Crafty Creations - Butterflies
Studiol3 = Distress Stickles
Mixed Media Monday - Embellish it
Everybody Art - In the Garden

Please let me know what you think, was it worth the effort??
(I'll try and take better piccies over the weekend I think)

Thanks for taking the time to stop at my blog. Appreciate it!

LOTV DT Card (New Releases) & Challenges

Today we have a brand new challenge over at the LOTV Challenge Blog. Another brilliant sketch by Bev. I have used todays NEW RELEASES called Christmas Animals and 2 other really cute stamps "Back To School". This is called Cracking Christmas. He's been coloured with Promarkers and stickled. The papers are KaiserCraft - Dear Santa Collection. I found them in a draw, uncut. Love them!!! The tag is another thing I found lying in a draw. Its amazing what I come across. Must of bought all this at some stage but I don't remember. Shows I've got way too much stash and will never get threw it all but needs must..........
Quite a simple card and for once no flowers but think this would also be suitable for a man to.
The rest of the LOTV DT have also made gorgeous cards. You need to check them out via the LOTV Challenge Blog so you can see more from the NEW RELEASES. The Christmas Animals Stamps + 2 Back To School Stamps can be purchased at the LOTV SHOP.
Heres my usual list of challenges that this card fits into. Nearly 170 on my sidebar now so you can image how long it takes me to type up each post.

Creative Cottage - Christmas
Anything Goes - 3 Layers (3 layers papers on card)
ASFOS - Christmas

I've also got candy to post. I forgot to do it last week so promise to post it shortly. Just need to get a piccie to pop on my blog.

LOTV DT Card & Challenges!

Hello everyone, its time again for another challenge at the LOTV Challenge Blog and remember as of today we go weekly. Instead of a sketch this time the challenge this week is "4 Seasons". Make a card of either Spring, Summer, Autumn or Winter. Or you may choose to combine, its up to you.
For my card, I have used Bear & Butterflies. It has been coloured with Copic & Promarker Pens. I used a clear gloss pen for his glasses and added stickles to the net and butterflies.
