SCSC DT Card week 9

Here is my DT card for the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge and this week it is a fabulous sketch set by Sue. I really like the LO on this card, thanks Sue. The papers are K & Co Sweet Noel. "Juggling Snowman" by SN and coloured with Prisma Pencils & Sansodor. Added stickles to the snowballs. Again all the edges of paper have been edges with a black Galaxy marker. The text was done on my computer. Please pop along to the SCSC and see what the other DT members have come up with, we'd love it f you could join in!

Friday Sketcher

Another christmas card off the list and this one was made using this weeks sketch over at Friday Sketchers and what a fab sketch it is, am sure to use this one again. I've so many new stamps that are untouched so late last night coloured in my "Tilda With Hood". This is a gorgeous stamp and so easy to work with. Papers are BG "Figgy", coloured with Promarkers and Sakura pen. Have gone around the edge of papers with a black Galaxy Marker. I would use this as a top tip as it is so quick and saves using cardstock. Sentiment stamp from Magnolia, Prima Flowers and a brad and white pen from Inkssentials.
My Blog Candy will be here very soon, so keep your eyes peeled. Happy Thursday!

Stamped Image Folder

I made one of these a few weeks ago for a blog buddy and have promised my tweenie (we share the same birthday) some stamped images so made another folder to pop them in. Cant believe this one involves no stamping whatsoever. I did intend to put an image on but I think less is more in this instance. The paper and stickers are Basic Grey "Wassill". The flowers were punched with the same paper and the leaves are from my stash, I love these little leaves and have used them on a few cards now. The only other things I've added are Liquid Pearls and a piece of lace. the tutorial for this folder can be found HERE and is very simple to make. Hope you like it Ann!

1 Card, 2 Challenges........

Morning everyone, this is my card for this weeks Sketch Saturday and Artygirlz. I have used my "Liliy & Milo" stamp which has been in its pack for months now so thought it was about time she surfaced. I've coloured her with Prisma Pencils & Sansodor, added some stickles and highlighted around the image with a Promarker. The Backing paper is Paper Pizazz and cardstock from my stash. Flowers are Prima and the centre is gold Liquid Pearls. Sentiment made on my computer. Got the house to myself for a few hours and will be making a start on another little project today. Cold and gloomy here but at least the cold wind has died down making it more bearable. Have a good day!

"Tilda with Rose" - Dutchdare

This card is for this weeks DutchDare Challenge which is to use 3 flowers on your card. Its the first time I've used this stamp and my new Storybook Cricut Cartridge, and both have the Wow factor. I coloured Tilda with Prisma pencils and Sansodor. The backing paper on the card is the new download from Making Handmade Cards. I cut out the piece above the image and the trelis with my Storybook cartridge, I think this is one of my favourite cartridges now as it has great elements on it! Other products used SU Scallop Punch, Ticket Stamps, Prima Flowers and brads.
Sorry for being a bad blogger lately. What with loosing my connection and been generally busy with other things, crafting seems to have taken a back seat though I would really like to get back ontop of it now! Hope everyone is well and will try and catch up with you soon!!

New Scor It and 1st Card!!!!

I didn't get a chance to craft yesterday but did receive my new Scor It...... I love this board though it doesn't come with instructions or any projects to get you started, so if any of you own one and have some tutorials or projects I could use, I would be very grateful. I came across the tutorial for a stair step fold card HERE. It was very easy to do and after my 1st try decided I really love these style cards. I used pearlescent cardstock. Paper from Imaginesec. The christmas tree is Personal Impressions. Stamped direct to paper and cut out. Used my new white pen and coloured the tub and dotted over the tree. Parcels and sentiment are Papermania. Snowflake is K & Co. Will be making more of these cards and this one fits in with 2 challenges. Papertake weekly which is Snow, or anything snow related and Cute Card Thursday which is red and green. Think I can get away with that as both are on the card (haha). Off to catch up with the chores, must tidy my table first, cant beleive how much mess 1 card can make. Enjoy your day!

LOTV Blog Hop Winner!!!

Thankyou to all who entered the LOTV Blog Hop. It was nice to see so many of you participating but there can only be one winner, and the winner from my blog is

Congratulations Enfys, if you could email Myself or Marcea with your choice of stamp and addy please.
Remember the new stamps are now on sale and a bargain at £3.50.

Unfortunately I had to pick Daniel up from Boarding School last night as he wasn't feeling to well, nothing major, just a bug. But the good news is I dont have any school runs this afternoon so a day of playing with my stash and maybe a big of hopping!
Started my Root Canal treatment yesterday, 45 mins in the chair but had my I Pod plugged in so it went pretty quick. Back next week to get it finished. Those dentists just love to charge dont they - OMG, £495!!!!
Remember tomorrow we have a new challenge over the LOTV Challenge Blog and I can assure you that you will love it, and remember you do not have to use LOTV products to join in.
Here is a sneak peak of my card, just loved this challenge.

Now I'm off to look threw my stash and decide what I want to do next I think!

WOJ - Snuggle up!

You'll have to excuse the picture quality on this card, its pouring with rain and very dark, even though I took it at 2pm! The stamps are WOJ. The chair was stamped direct onto BG paper and cut out. I coloured the girl with Promarkers and then added her to the chair. The fireplace was cut on my Cricut using the Christmas Cheer Cartridge. The mugs on the fireplace were also from the same cartridge. I've spritzed the mantelpiece with Gold Glimer mists. Sentiment done on my computer and punched with SU punches.

Tilda coloured with Prisma Pencils and Sansodor. Papers are Basic Grey Sultry. Hand drew the heart and added grungeboard hearts and swirl which were spritzed with black/gold Glimmer mists. Sentiment printed onto Safmat and doodling with a Galaxy Marker. Prima flower and button and fibre from my stash. More Birthday Thanks!

Just a quickie to say more thanks from Daniel. He opened the remaining cards he received last night and would like to say a great big thankyou to
SHE, GINA & FAMILY, JOEY AND GANG, LORRAINE A(fab notebook, he loved it), NANCY,
ENRICA, WISHCRAFT, RANDI, ROXX, AVRIL & FAMILY. Our living room is full of these wonderful creations and Daniel really needed a smile on his face last night. Someone has stolen his I-Pod from school. He is totally dependent on it for his long journeys to and from. So more cards help put a smile on his face.
Thanks Ladies,
Back later today with another card, I'm not going out in that wind - No Way!!!!!!
TTFN and Thanks
Claire and Daniel

3 Challenges In 1........

This cards fits in with the Artygirlz Challenge which is Blog Inspiration, (I took the pink from my blog). Spoonful of Sugar is "A Childs Card", well I think this fits that one as well, and ABC Challenge which is a quick card. Simple mat and layering so no time at all really. I made this card with BG "Eva" papers. Stamp is Sarah kay which has been coloured with Prisma Pencils and Sansador, have added a little dab of Pink Sakura pen. Other items used are SU Sentiment, SU Punches,Prima Flower, Golden Leaves, Liquid Pearls, a Rub On and "Friend Sentiment" made with Safmat on my computer and my new Fiskars Waterfall Punch. Have for a 1st decorated the insert. Paper again "Eva", text on my computer and the embellishment on left hand side was stamped with my new set from Creative Expressions and added a Sakura Glitter Pen to parts of the image. I now have nearly 70 Challenge Links on my sidebar so although I dont often combine challenges, its a case of having to. As much as I would like to sit and do every challenge individually, there just isn't enough hours. The only solution I can think of is to clone myself (lol).
Off to the dentist soon, large filling has come out and I need an Extraction, though I'm not sure if that will happen today. Enjoy your Friday!

Ickle Tilda Notepad

I recently read on someones blog that Asda sold ickle notepads for 10 pence each. Well I was in there the other day and bought a handful of them. This is the first one I have covered and think they make great little gifts and at a great price. I covered with paper from my stash (not sure what) and stamped a swirl in the corner (Dawn Bibby's). Coloured Tilda with Prismas Pencils and Sansador and added a button and fibres. "Beautiful" and the little flys are from Technique Tuesday. The white stitching is a Doodlebug Design Rub On. Caught up with some of the chores this morning and am working on another card right now. Dont think this meets any challenges, but I dont mind, I enjoy my crafting and sometimes just like to do what comes to mind.

Dotties World - Colour Me Silly

Haven't crafted since last week and itching to get back to it so neglected the chores this morning! Its quite sunny here but cold so what better than to spend a few hours crafting before doing the school runs. This weeks theme over at Dotties World is "Colour Me Silly". I've used papers from DCWV and coloured with Dottie with Sakura Pens and Stickles. Added a sentiment and lots of different Prima Flowers and Brads. I love Dottie and think I'll be sending this to my neighbours daughter who will be 3 tomorrow.
Daniel has had a few more cards in the post and would like to say THANKYOU to Joy (craftjoy), Jason (USA) and the stickers and images, TerrieB, The Parson Family (USA), Wendy (craftybutterfly) and Christine Riley (USA). More fantastic cards to put on show, but running out of space and the cats keep knocking them down (lol).

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge 6 - DT Card

This weeks challenge over at the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge is a sketch by Wendy. Wasn't sure how I was going to work this sketch to start with but now I have finished the card, I just love it and am sure to use it again. My card is a 6 x 6. The only papers used are BG's Sultry. The Circle was cut with my Nestabilities and I've edged with a metallic ink pad as I felt another circle would cover up to much of the square area. The stamp is my new "Daisy" by Sugar Nellie. I've coloured again with my Prismas Pencils and Sansador and am so pleased with how she turned out. The sentiment I made on my Computer and printed onto Satmat. The scalloped border is done with my new Fiskars Waterfall Punch!

I must say a massive thanks to everyone who sent a card to Daniel, took 2 1/2hrs for him to open and we finished late last night. We ended up all going for a meal instead of the fireworks. I will post a list of names in the week, sorry it wont be sooner, but I have my mum coming to visit this weekend and we haven't seen each other for a year so will be AWOL for the next 2 days. Daniel loved his birthday and he was constantly smiling while opening them, he looked at every card in detail and read out every single word written, so you can see why it took so long (lol), Have a great weekend, and dont forget to pop over to the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge and see what the other DT's have made. Have a terrific weekend and thanks again!!!!!!!!!!

You helped to make my boys birthday very special and even though we bought him a laptop (amongst other bits), he wasn't interested with it until after opening his cards. Todays Daniels Birthday and Its Gonna be Busy!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY FAVOURITE SON (because he's the only boy I have -LOL). The cards are piled high and I must have a look for a decent size box to wrap them all up in this morning. He's going to be so surprised and I cant wait to see the look on his face when he opens the box and its all down to you wonderful crafters who have helped make it so special. I never would have though the response was going to be this wild, but its great so a massive thanks from me. I will put the camera on charge and take some piccies for you to see. Got to go and buy more wrapping paper this morning and hopefully Sainsburys are bringing the cake. He requested Super Mario, just hope they've got it in store. I must thank NETTIE in Cape Town, who kindly sent Daniel and Electronic Greeting late last night, its brilliant! Well, must dash, things to do. Keep an eye out for the photos' and what I expect to be a very long "Thankyou List". Have a great Friday, TTFN

Card Update, Tennis Elbow and Top 5!

Morning all, so happy the weekend is upon us. Been a long week and am hoping to take it easy this weekend but think is wishful thinking.
Went to the doctors yesterday and I have Tennis Elbow. My arm is in a sling whenever possible till it heals. Been told to rest it as much as possible and have anti inflammitory tablets. Timing couldn't be worse though. We've not had a viewing for weeks and now a viewing for tomorrow morning, which happens to be Daniels birthday. So the sling is going to have to come off today as the house has been a bit neglected over the last few days and chores need to be done.
I have received more cards for Daniel, he are a few I can give details of, just so you know they have reached us safe and sound.
P.Cross, CV22 7SL, Christine Jones, LilacAngela, Italy x 2, Netherlands, Deutschland and many more from the UK. Thankyou so much ladies, appreciate your time and effort!
And I made the Top 5 at Stamp Something for my card below, thanks so much to the DT for choosing my card, I am over the moon!
Anyway, must soldier on, regardless. Dont think I will be crafting much over the next few days as my arm is pretty painful but will try and do some blog hopping over the weekend. We are going to a firework display on Saturday so think its going to be a very busy day for me then, along with the birthday and a viewing. Wishing you all a lovely weekend. And a big thankyou for sending cards to Daniel, I know there are still more to come and will keep updating.

Just for You Son!!!

This is my card for Daniel tomorrow. I'd already decided to use the High Hopes Stamps as its a great image for a boys card! I coloured with Prisma Pencils and Sansador and experimented with a bit more shading than I normally use. Think its a bit daunting when it comes to shading unless your like some of the Pro's out there, but am pleased with my dragon even if I did lay brown ontop of green!!!. The papers are a ???, pretty sure BG's but I've so many pads and have put my big pile away again now. Matted on Bazzill cardstock and used a punch in just one corner. Did lay some other elements on the card but I preferred to keep this one simple. I'm also putting this in for this weeks "Our Creative Corner Challenge" which is colouring. Off on the school run soon but think my mojo is slowly returning and hoping to make another card tonight. I'm gonna play with my Prisma's again I think. Apologies, I've not done so much blog hopping this week as much as I would have liked. Didn't mean to miss your lovely creations but thats life I suppose.........
BTW, Daniels card total is now up to 60, I really must find a large enough box and some gift wrap. Dont know if I'll be able to sleep with all this excitement, thanks for looking!!!

Kreativ Blogger Award

I was given this AWARD by ERIN today and what a HONOR for me...
Check out Erins blog HERE.

The Rules are :-

1. The winner may put the logo on their blog.
2. Put a link to the person who sent you the award.
3. Nominate 5 blogs.
4. Put links to their blogs.
5. Leave a message for your nominees.

Now the hard part to choose only 5 blogs. Well, so many of you have been kind enough to help celebrate Daniels Birthday and I have so many regular visitors to my blog, I would love any of you to feel free to take this award and post on your blog.

Received another 10 cards in the post today, I think its great but the postman may beg to differ (lol).
Been a busy week and not had any time to craft today, will have to try and fit an hour or 2 in tomorrow as I have still to make Daniels birthday card and have my DT card to do for the Secret Crafter Challenge
Cant believe its Bonfire Night. Zoe (my 6yr old) was all excited thinking she was going to see the sky full of fireworks tonight, and guess what, we didn't see or hear one, suppose the rain put people off. Never mind, there is a local display on Daniels Birthday so whether pending we are supposed to all be going to that but I've a feeling the weather is still going to be rotten and the fact that Daniel will probably be knee high in envelopes (LOL).
Hope to have something to post tomorrow, enjoy the rest of the week

Dinkie Dots & Funky Fairy Challenges

Seeings as I seem to be into my Dotties at the moment, I could not help but enter this weeks challenge at Dotties World. This weeks theme is "Black, White and a splash of Colour". I chose pink as I love the backing paper, its a Funky Fairy Download and I think it blends so well on many cards. I printed off Naughty Dottie which you can purchase HERE and coloured in parts with Copics. This card also fits in with The Funky Fairy challenge which again is Black, White and 1 Colour. Other products used were Liquid Pearls, BG Swirl Stamp, SU Sentiment and Punches and Prima Flowers and Black Cardstock. Cant wait to see what next weeks challenges are!!!!

What Can I Say, BUT!!!!

THANKYOU to all of you lovely bloggers who have been so kind in offering to send DANIEL a Birthday Card. Cards have arrived from all over the world and would like to express me deepest thanks. I'm so excited, cant wait till Friday now, just need to find a box big enough...............Your all super fantastic and a great bunch of friends!!!!

Big Thankyou!!!

I cant say a big enough thanks to those who have offered to send my Daniel a card. They are starting to arrive and I am putting them away safe till the weekend. I can say I have recieved from Fiona Malby (Austria), R Feldmann (Mainz) and Denise (Crafting Den), pretty sure I have your envelope. All the others are unmarked but thanks anyway. I am overwhelmed by the response I have had and cant believe how many new followers I have on my blog. I never ask this as a requirement for my candy, I just love giving stuff away as I dont think I would have got as far as I have today without my blog and your support. And please dont think you have to send a card to enter my candy, that is not the case at all. I understand we all have other commitments and I am not the best at remembering. Maybe I should do something about it!!
Postie bought me a nice collection of new Greeting Farm Stamps, cant wait to ink up these beauties. Chucking it down here, just in time for the school run, typical really, so maybe some crafting tonight.
Mega Thanks and Squishy Hugs

Another Dottie -BG & LOTV Challenge

After downloading my Dotties yesterday I couldn't help but play with the images some more. After an email from Louise, I managed to work out how to resize and get the perfect image. Thanks for your help Louise, and it wasn't that hard after all. Dottie was backed onto green cardstock and the gold edging was done with a Gold Copic Marker. The Sentiment I made on my computer. The papers are Basic Grey "Wassail", these are gorgeous papers!! Other elements used, Prima Flowers and Metallic Brad, Skeleton Leaves and a Grungeboard Arrow that I tinted with an "Encore Metallic Ink Pad. This card fits in with 2 challenges this week, Basic Grey and LOTV, both are Christmas Cards. Think I've fallen for Dottie and am sure to be using her alot more often.

My 1st Dottie/Mojo Monday

Today I decided to download some of the Dottie sets from Charmed Cards and Crafts. I got Christmas and Dress Up Dottie. I am a MAC user so if anyone out there could give me some advice or resizing and printing a better image I would be truly grateful. Spent a good few hours mucking around but this image is still oversized despite the small measurements I put in!!! I used the sketch from this weeks Mojo Monday. The image has been coloured with Copics and all the papers are from my Cosmo Cricket TSV Which I purchased a few weeks ago. The Sentiment and Circles I cut with my SU punches. I just love these punches, they are great and come in various sizes. The flowers in the top corner are die cut. I used 2 different colours folded the petals over on the top layer and added Gold Liquid Pearls to the Centes. Still trying to work on getting a better piccie. I took this under a daylight bulb but still doesn't look true to colour. I do think a decent photo makes all the difference when posting. Will keep trying, practice makes perfect, ot so they say (lol).

Thankyou To!!!!

The Postman was kind to me on Saturday and look what I received!!!
Arline sent me this wonderful Blog Candy which I won last week, THANKS ARLINE!!!

Tina sent me this lovely card along with Daniels THANKS TINA!!!

Sarah was also kind enough to enclose a card for me along with Daniels, THANKS SARAH!!!

Its not often I get surprises in the post, and they were such pleasant surprises, THANKYOU!!!
I now have 28 birthday cards put away for Daniel and I know more are on their way. Cards are coming from across the world and have already had a few from USA, and 1 from Spain. Its so exciting, think I'm going to have to find a very large box.
Ordered Daniels laptop today, but the local store doesn't have one so tomorrow I've to do a 60 mile round trip to collect from another store. Suppose I'll have to fit it in between the school runs, so doesn't look like I'll be crafting till tomorrow night. Thank again for those sending Birthday Cards, it is so kind of you and I truly appreciate it!!
Have a great week. I'm just working on a card at the moment and will post here soon.
Take Care!

A Request Please (LATEST POSTS UNDER THIS ONE)

Some of you will know my son Daniel has Aspbergers Syndrome (which was diagnosed only 2 yrs ago). Aspergers is mild Autism where they are unable to socialise and interact socially, making everyday life quite difficult for them. Because of this we have had a lengthy battle with out local education authority to get Daniel statemented and into a new school as class sizes and lack of help actually stopped Daniel from progressing and took its toll. It took over a year but we have won so far and after much stress and a very expensive solicitor,Daniel started a new school in September, again mainstream but with a satalite unit just for ASD children. A nice class size of 6 pupils and 121 when he needs it. Because of his condition he doesn't have birthday parties as he hasn't a great circle of friends so last year some were kind enough to send Daniel a birthday card. I saved them all and then wrapped up in a box for him to open and he absolutely loved it. Above is a picture of what he received last year. I am asking if any of you would like to send Daniel a card. Daniel does craft with me and is actually quite good and I know another surprise like last year would really put a smile on his face. He will be 11 yrs old on the 7th November and I know how much he appreciates the work we put into our crafting. My email is on my profile or leave a comment and I'll get back to you, but I hope you can understand why I'm asking and not a desperate attempt to break any records.
Thanks for Reading

This weeks challenge has been set by Jill and is a fantastic sketch but this time with a twist. The twist to the sketch is that you must use the colours pink, white and brown. This is what I came up with. The papers are Papermania "Naughty & Nice". Used my Cuddly Buddly image and coloured with Copics. Added Crystal Stickles to the scarf and boots. Circles were cut with my Nestabilities on my Bigshot. Other items used were three gorgeous Prima Flowers that I got when at Ally Pally, a Gold Brad and a Rudolph Button as it tied in with the theme and I felt the circle looked a bit vacant. Why dont you hop on over to the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge and see what the other DTs have made, we'd love you to join us!
